I was excited about eating here.. until I got there and realized that the experience was going to be a struggle. the wait staff was unexciting! they brought us some bread and butter while we waited on our appetizer. I asked for some honey.. thinking that I would get some nice honey being that I was in a nice restaurant. what I received looked & tasted like Lite maple syrup. NOT what I wanted. Our appetizer was the Warm Manchego & Tomato Dip spicy tomato sauce, castelvetrano olive, sourdough bread. it was mediocre.

I ordered the Pecan-Dusted Gulf Grouper with honey-tahini glazed root vegetables, potato purée with herb butter, green olive-piquillo relish which was fine. my companion ordered the Crispy Potato Gnocchi with shaved coppa, crème fraiche, potato-leek velouté, chives, parmesan tuile and added shrimp. they forgot the shrimp.. this dish was also mediocre and again our waitress was unexciting!

I had a glass of wine & my companion ordered Congac. Congac was brought out & we were told it was a Hennessy brand. Expecting a smoother taste, it was not enjoyable..

I think the entire wait staff was part of my displeasure. with the menu items & cost I believe the level of attentiveness to detail should've been much better

I believe if I'd not arrived expecting more I would have been fine with the experience, however, with the level of hubris that wafted through the restaurant I left knowing I...

Elevated comfort food at a reasonable price! Let me start by saying you have to save room for dessert - the cheesecake and creme brulee are some of the best desserts I've ever had, period. The cheesecake especially is incredibly balanced in flavor and texture with the addition of cookie crumbles and citrus slices.

I ordered the asparagus grilled cheese and was impressed with the structural integrity of the bread as well as the fries being perfectly cooked, neither soggy or burnt. The ketchup is homemade and very interesting, slightly sweet and not "goopy" like regular ketchup. My one qualm is that the grilled cheese was quite heavy, and not as balanced as I would have hoped with the addition of the veggies. However, because it was so heavy and filling I had to get a box for half and am basically getting two full meals for the price of one! If you are looking for a rich grilled cheese with "hidden" veggies, you would like this.

I came with a party of 6 and everyone enjoyed their meals and drinks. We demolished the white cheddar pimento cheese and asked for extra to go. Our server was also very nice and accommodating when we requested to split our checks in a somewhat complicated way.

Whoever is designing the menu and working in the kitchen really knows what they're doing. If you are passing through Florence, as my group of friends was, make...

The service was exceptional. I was greeted when I entered by multiple people. I made a reservation though it wasn’t really needed. The ambiance is nice; I’m a huge fan of low-lit areas. There was a lot of light from the bar area.

I asked my server, Mary, what she recommended for a sweet drink and duly went with the Swingin Sunset. It was fresh, sweet, and mixed well. There wasn’t an incredible amount of ice, either. I was served a bread + (sea salt?) butter bowl, which was incredibly tasty. The muffins seemed like they were made with browned butter and a hint of caramelization. The saltiness of the butter complimented the sweetness of the bread. It makes me want to learn how to make it, haha.

I asked for food recommendations; she recommended the cheeseburger + gulf fish piccata. I wanted something different from a fish and burger so she ended up recommending the Crispy Potato Gnocci, which was a great choice. It was incredibly filling. The pork belly was crispy and mixed well with the rest of the ingredients in the dish. There was a nice umami + peppery bite.

The price of food + drink is a little high, but it goes with saying that the quality of the items made it worth it. I’m glad they have a seasonal menu to provide variety. If I’m ever in town, I would love to come here for...

Where to begin? This meal was amazing. We started with the deviled eggs. My daughter and I decided we could have had just those and left happy. We were also seriously impressed with the homemade bread and homemade butter. My daughter ordered a mocktail called Baby Doll that featured white cranberry juice, lime, and rosemary, and she loved it. I stole a sip and loved it, too. Next we both had steak for our main entrees. She went with a sirloin with chimichurri and fries (steak frites). It also came with a little salad and a homemade steak sauce. It was cooked to perfection at medium rare. I had slow roasted waygu, which was really a sirloin with a raviolo (giant ravioli) and a citrus/green salad. My steak was also perfect, and the raviolo was stuffed with short ribs and mushrooms. There was a red wine jus as a sauce. We were too stuffed for dessert, but this meal was unforgettable. I would recommend you make reservations as we didn't have any but were able to take a high top. It was right when they opened, but it was completely filled by the time we left.
