Stop scrolling through restaurant options- you’ve found the place to go.
I went in last week and haven’t stopped thinking about the amazing meal I had with my family. Seriously guys, we haven’t been that impressed with the food in Florence, but this place was totally amazing. We had four kids with us, and four adults- the layout of the restaurant is small so not awesome for big groups, but they were very accommodating and made it a great experience. All the waitstaff was super friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was lovely. But I’m here to talk about THE FOOD.
People. It was SO GOOD. I got a little bore off everyone’s dish and it was all fantastic. The fish sandwiches were cooked to perfection, the open face tri tip parm is what dreams are made of. The schnitzel was exactly how it should have been preppy. The chicken pot pie plate was amazing- the mashed potatoes were everything I love: chunky, skin on, perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor. The kids menu was great as well- lots of options. My kids loved the Mac n cheese. The clam chowder was not your typical creamy soup- it was BETTER. I swear. I didn’t think doing it another way would work but it DID. My mouth is watering just writing this.
The other thing is- the bill at the end was $88 for 8 people. It couldn’t believe it. We checked the total to make sure it wasn’t calculated wrong, but it wasn’t. Crazy good value for the quality of food, in my opinion.
It’s now our go to place. No need to try anywhere else. It’s hits all my requirements: amazing food, wonderful staff, great ambiance, excellent value, and bonus it’s family run. A win all around, your friends will be impressed at your choice in restaurants and you will be a hero. Go. You can...
Read moreIn every city visit, I diligently search through various portals to find a reliable restaurant with good food and ambiance. With mixed feelings of worry and excitement, I found this restaurant, which carries the owner's name. I thought, 'How could a restaurant be bad if it carries the owner's name?' So, I chose it for Sunday brunch. As usual sit at the bar, and the visual appeal of my ordered dishes immediately raised my expectations. The omelet and Eggs Benedict both tasted incredible! The omelet had a perfect balance of cooked mushrooms and spinach with the right amount of eggs, and the hash browns were ideally crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The temperature of the food was just right, and the Hollandaise sauce on the Benedict was at the level of a top-notch New York restaurant. Although I briefly thought the sauce could have been slightly better, the restaurant offers exceptional value for the price range. The dishes felt nourishing, and I don't even want to use the word 'but'. The food was excellent and truly had the touch of a mother's lovingly prepared meal. It was evident that the dishes were prepared with care, so I asked the waitstaff and found out that the mother does the cooking while her son serves the food and tends the bar. They were very friendly, and although I didn't expect much when I asked if they could make me a half-size Bloody Mary cocktail as we were nearly finished with my meal, they kindly made it at half the price. The house-made tomato base and vodka gave it a lasting spicy and smoky flavor, which matched my taste perfectly. Thanks to this, I was able to spend the rest of my Sunday in a good mood. I plan to visit this place often and highly recommend...
Read moreYeah so I went to this place for lunch with my girlfriend and my mother it was the first time we've gone out to eat together so i wasn't sure how that experience was gonna go but then they just talked about having periods for like twenty minutes which was cool but I don't get a period I don't think so I didn't really have much to contribute to the conversation anyways we tried to go to the place across the street first but they were closed so we went to maris kitchen it was totally empty when we went in but we got our menus and the food was so over priced oh my goodness they charged twelve dollars for a sausage egg and cheese bagel but then when I got it the sausage was huge and oblong and it seemed like it would probably fit in a croissant better cause it was vaguely croissant shaped but I didn't get a croissant so it didn't fit my bagel also the waitress kept leaving the front door open and it was kind of cold cause the wind would blow in on us but she also came to refill my coffee and after she coffeed me she said here you go mister but actually I have a phd so she should have said here you go doctor but she didn't so that was a little upsetting although there's no way for her to know that I'm a doctor cause I didn't tell her so I guess I can't take points off for that but then the coffee she gave me was kind of cold which was kind of not that great but overall the food didn't taste that bad so I wouldn't not recommend it but it was really expensive and to be honest for the price it probably wasn't worth it but it was open and the other places weren't so for that they get some bonus points not bad three out...
