On The Rocks — Restaurant in Florence

I have had different experiences every time I have come here. I went here for Wednesday Bingo and the energy was lacking. The music is too loud when they call out the numbers and the caller seems to not be able to hear most of the Bingos...lol (lower the music it would help) also my server usually is ok but on this particular night she seemed distant and hard to reach. She had to be flagged down a lot for drinks and food. She also brought me the wrong order. And upon bringing me the fried green tomatoes she only brought me 8 little tomatoes...(I have bragged about the amount being so much that 3 people could share...she brought it to me on a boat dish and claimed that was the regular serving it just seemed small cause of the particular dish they were using due to no other clean dishes available😑😒...oh and she brought no dipping sauce...I'm thinking she must think I have stupid ##### written on my face or some...then she asks me do I need the sauce that it comes with??? Yes I do...tf...excuse this review but I was highly pissed with my service...I told her point blank that that is not the regular size of the order and I have pictures...tf...so she says I didn't have to pay for them but I did have to pay for the fries...really? She tripping bad...she probably didn't like what she wasn't left with after I paid my bill...she righteously tried to belittle me. But anywho I have noticed more fights been happening lately. I just don't feel welcome there anymore due to how bright I shine...a little pun...but if you thinking about going just be prepared for the experience it might be ok it might not...that's how its been for me throughout the years...some of the servers act like they are better and don't really need your patronage or tip for the matter and the DJ is about the same...well 2 of them and 1 in particular. I come to have a good time not to be stifled and belittled by your insecurities that a lot of the employees seem to have. And I see some other guys working there too that want a status so some seem to be kissing a little tail...but anywho my review is all over the place cause I'm summing up the years. I have had many good times too and all but now I feel like I may have outgrown this place but I don't know maybe this review will help better the funk they seem to have sunken in...oh and they smoke in here after 10pm and it stinks inside like smoke whether they smoke or not basically it smells like 3 hand stale smoke in there regardless if they are smoking or not...very small area once crowded and just watch out cause a lot of fights tend to start on the 2nd floor I saw security jump from the balcony 2 weeks ago but anywho I'm rambling now...party at your own risk, eat at your own risk too cause the server is always right not the customer...and you don't have to tip they don't really need your money ok. Check it out for yourself! The picture with boat type dish is what I'm unsatisfied with...notice the other picture...but same amount right? No it clearly has more on the square shaped...

I don’t know what the deal it is with this place and constantly kicking good customers out. I have been to countless of bars and this bar is the only one that constantly gives me problems every time I go here. Last year I went here and for some reason the security guard targeted me as soon as I walked in the door, wasn’t being loud, didn’t do anything but mind my own business and enjoy myself. I go to the upper deck and as soon as my hand is in my face, he taps me on the shoulder and is like. “I’m going have to ask you to leave, you’re falling asleep.” First of all, no I wasn’t, if I was it would of been harder to wake me up, I was fine and secondly even if I was you guys don’t give warnings like most bars would?? I have gone to Wildwood Tavern so many times (one of my favorite bars by the way, shoutout to them) and there was one time I laid my head down and they gave me a warning, not just kick me out of the place. And another thing to point out, why did the security guard feel the need to leave the front of the bar to follow me to the upper deck just for that?? It was a Saturday night, that place was packed!!

Let’s fast forward to this year, out of my better judgment I decided to go here because I wanted to watch the Bama game and its more of a sports bar than the other bars around the area. My brother who doesn’t go out much was with me, yes he had a few shots (2 doubles and a beer, that was it) wasn’t a gah awful drunk, maybe had the stumbles just slightly but was still very coherent and I was watching him. Bartender with the black ball cap and mid dirty blonde hair tells me. “If your brother can’t get it together, we are going have to ask you to leave.” This place is not welcoming at all, they hire the most obnoxious pricks as employees that I have ever witnessed from a bar, by the way this is why you didn’t get a tip from me last night, you guys are just very unprofessional and unwelcoming as a bar that I ever been to, you give me problems every single time I come here and I will never give you guys my business again, y’all burned that bridge with me. Also you’re a bar but act like you guys have never seen a drunk person before, make it make sense?? Take your businesses to more welcoming bars like Wildwood Tavern, Pool Hall, Lava Room and Mr. Norms. They will also have the Bama game on, this place...

One of the worst experiences I’ve had at OTR. I’ve been a server before so I know how the industry is but the service I had tonight was not except-able. The bar tender upstairs at the bar next to the blonde girl was so un professional. She accused me of not tipping and she “warned” us if I didn’t tip I would be kicked out of the bar? Since when is that a thing? But regardless the thing is I tipped her every time I ordered drinks and I have the receipts where I did tip both of them. Maybe the reason I was treated this way is cause I’m brown because she did not talk to other people around me the same way I was treated. I come to OTR to spend money but if this is the way I’ll be treated this will be the last time I’ll go. The blonde girl that was serving tonight was super nice and sweet and thanks to her our night was not so bad but I witnessed the other brunette girl serving yell at a couple of other black clients to move their drinks because she was trying to serve shots and I believe that’s so...
