Palmetto Bakeshop — Restaurant in Florence

We went on a Saturday about an hour before closing time. Apparently, they had a busy morning, so they didn't have a lot of inventory left when we got there. We chose some macarons, though, and they were really good. The service was very friendly. We decided we're definitely going back a little earlier next time so we can try some of the other options they have. They all sounded so good. Their cream horn is a must-try—arguably the best in Florence! While the bakery may not offer an extensive selection, everything they make is crafted with genuine passion. Their treats are perfectly balanced in sweetness, leaning on the lighter side, which is refreshing. It’s surprising that more people aren’t familiar with this bakery; perhaps tastes have simply changed.

The highlight was the strawberry shortcake danish- it was a classic danish with a piece of shortcake inside. Pastries were all flaky with delicious fillings and toppings.
