Upon our visit last night, on 1/3/2024, we observed a notable increase in prices since our last visit a few months ago. While we had previously acknowledged slight reductions in portion sizes for some of our regular orders, the pricing remained constant, which, while disappointing, was somewhat understandable given the challenges of adjusting to rising costs. However, the shift from a reasonable $9.99 for a well-sized portion to a new price of $17 proved less justifiable, especially considering the comparative value offered by other locally owned, non-franchise establishments in the vicinity.
This price adjustment, coupled with what seemed like diminishing returns in terms of portion size and perceived quality, raises concerns, especially when juxtaposed with the offerings from other eateries providing superior culinary experiences at more reasonable prices. As patrons who frequented this establishment 5-6 times annually, the recent changes prompt a reconsideration of our dining choices.
While recognizing the potential need to address operating costs, the substantial hike in prices, from $9.99 to $17, seems disproportionate and raises questions about its impact on both customers and staff. The burden of such price increases, both for the patrons and the wait staff, becomes evident when faced with bills that are $20-$60 higher than the norm. The viability of sustaining a loyal customer base may be compromised as a result.
While everyone has their preferences, this revised pricing strategy may lead to a decline in sales volume, potentially even if that is the intended outcome. For those willing to absorb the added expense, the establishment may retain a portion of its clientele. However, for individuals like myself, and those I know, the allure of quality steaks from the local butcher and the comfort of dining at home become more appealing, driven by both financial considerations and a desire for a superior...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisited around 8:00 PM, a couple hours before closing, on a Tuesday and got seated right away as the place was not very busy. Our drinks came quickly, and our order was taken then making it all a fast and easy process. The food also came out fast and it all looked great. I got the club sandwich with fries and my husband got the fish tacos with the coleslaw. He was surprised how much he enjoyed the coleslaw, but despite how nice they looked, he said the fish tacos were mediocre. The club sandwich was good. One of the meats had a smokey taste I wasn't crazy about but it didn't ruin the taste for me. The steak cut fries were the star of the meal though. We both liked the taste and they had a delicious crispy outside without being too crunchy. The only thing I could possibly complain about is while we were there they were already cleaning up for closing, not the problem, but with their focus on that we had to try to get the server's attention to get another drink after needing a refill for a while. That being the case though, we did see how well they clean the tables and booths at the end of the night. They pulled the tables out to clean under and around and even used a flashlight to ensure they had not missed anything which I have not seen some places do. There is a row of TVs all around the room showing various sporting events making it a fantastic place to go if you are looking for somewhere to watch a game. MAJOR bonus points from me for providing the large selection of sports on TV without the flood of noise and overwhelm that a certain Wild Wings place nearby offers. Overall everything was good and I definitely recommend this location,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis aggraves me to even have to post this. I understand there are so many places who are short staffed but if anything the manager should be able to come to the phone for an issue. However they don't. I live 45 minutes away. I called in a ToGo order. I waited on hold for 15 mins for the bartender to answer the phone. I hung up and called back a second time. Explained the situation. Was placed on hold again. Gentleman picked up. Wasn't the bartender. A woman picked up. Wasn't the bartender. I explained to her what was going on. She took the order and told me that the bartender would call me once the food was ready. Made the trip 45 minutes to the location. No call. So I called. Spoke with a gentleman who once again puts me on hold. Bartender answers. She's extremely rude once I explain the situation. I'm sitting in the parking lot after driving 45 mins and no one can tell me that the food is even ready. She tells me that the woman who took my order wasn't her and she wasn't told that she was supposed to call me. Then she tells me it "might" be ready and that she hasn't and won't have time to go back and look to see. Then she tells me I will need to come into the bar to get the food. All fine except you can't tell me if the food is even ready. I asked her to cancel the order. I called to speak with the manager. Was left on hold. We use to love coming here and would make the trip. We will...
