Despite all prior Commets and 4 to 5 star reviews, im sorry to be the one to unbalance the "Perfect" place to visit concept here BUT, this happened a month ago. So, the 4 of us, were trying to find a place to have breakfast and we entered the place and sat down inside due to the heat and i dont know if the place has to do anything with the Hotel that's right above them but, BASED ON MY YRS OF HIGH-END hospitality work with names such as : FOUR SEASONS HOTELS AND INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL, of which I was a part of and went through almost every single department in each of them,,, I HAVE NEVER EVER, IN MY ENTIRE CAREER HEARD SUCH THING AS: ARE YOU STAYING AT THE HOTEL? CAUSE IF YOU ARE NOT AND U WANT TO EAT HERE, YOU HAVE TO PAY AN EXTRA CHARGE OF 10$ PER PERSON just to sit at the restaurant and eat, PLUS the cost of the meal...
YOU SEE, the problem with people who think they run a service providing business, mostly a Hotel , think that if they have had the property for many years , that makes them experts in the field... Trust me,, IT DOES NOT....
By the way, I will upload a video of this because I will be going again just to make sure i het it on video and also, i forgot to mention the lack of courtesy, training and education of the lady who addressed such STUPIDITY to us that day... I will make sure that video, makes it through all of my 250K followers on Tiktok and media all over...
Whomever came up with such POLICY, deserves to become famous along with his/her ignorance and lack of knowledge for the Hotel Industry and service providing sense of care and respect for whomever enters thru that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBin 39 exceeded all expectations during our Christmas visit. The cozy courtyard, beautifully accented with holiday touches, combined with outstanding wine selections and remarkable service, made it the highlight of our trip to St. Augustine. Despite the large holiday crowds, the staff worked tirelessly with genuine smiles and gracious service. Their effort and attention to detail were impossible to miss, and we are incredibly grateful for the care they put into creating such a wonderful experience.
Now, letās address the elephant in the courtyard: disrespectful tourists. It was disheartening to witness behavior like that of Josei Rivas (see "review" below), whose tantrum over rearranging the entire courtyard for his oversized party quickly turned hostile. Watching him get in the face of the kind and patient bar manager, Rachel, while hurling foul language was beyond embarrassingāit was disgusting. Rachel, however, handled the situation with professionalism and grace that Mr. Rivas could never hope to match.
Hereās a tip, Josei Rivas: if your ego is so fragile that it cracks under the weight of waiting for two coronas and for the world to revolve around you, maybe consider grabbing them at the Shell gas station down the road, where self-service will spare you the burden of interacting with real humans.
To the team at Bin 39: thank you for your patience, professionalism, and dedication. You turned a chaotic holiday rush into an unforgettable experience for those of us who value kindness and hard work. You deserve every bit of praise, and weāll be back to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTo have an Inn and built in wine bar downstairs all in one....I mean, how can you top that? Wine and cheese every morning and night? Yes please! Add friendly hospitable employees, and you've got yourself a baecation for anyone's stay - friends, couples, party of one, you name it, it's perfect for all of the above. The staff here made me want to eat breakfast sitting and talking to the employees all day. They honestly probably got sick of me asking questions and talking their ears off. If you have questions on what wine to pair with which selection of meats and cheeses they offer - no problem; they will make it easy for you - lead you down the right path.
Choose inside or outside to sit. If you are worried about it being too exposed on the patio - Don't. The entire patio is covered with umbrellas that provide shade for roughly 75-80% of the whole patio! Very helpful for those intense summer months. Relax listening to live music - which can be heard inside as well which I loved. On occasion, a cute four legged sommelier is located inside, who appreciates tips in the form of pets.
Would love to visit Bin 39 again whether it's with my stay at the St George Inn, or just passing by as a visitor. Plenty of wine to choose from, experienced staff to help, and premium cheese boards to select from. Please go visit if you are a true vino lover...
