OH MY GOODNESS Y'ALL! I have lived in Florida, on the coast, all 25 years of my life and this was THE BEST fried shrimp I have EVER had. Sooo good! Giant, flavorful and fried to perfection. The fries were fresh and seasoned well. Hubby got the shrimp burger and it was also just to die for. We sat out and the cute little patio and the atmosphere was super laid back and comfortable. We cannot wait to get back and enjoy this place again. Highly, HIGHLY recommend you give them a try. - we have now been atleast 10 times on different trips to the city. Never ever disappointed with the food. The prices have gone up with everywhere else a tad bit on the pricey side at almost 50 dollars for 2 entress but still well worth it to us. The little dining area uo the block is super cute and has a great atmosphere but the service has been awful every time we have tried to eat there. Do Your self the favor, wait in line at the main restaurant you'll get your food way sooner and it will be correct when you get it. 3 times we have dined in and all the times we've had poor service and been delivered the wrong order. DO NOT let this turn you away, just go down to the restaurant itself and have the best lunch ever!

Stopped by on a recent trip. Had a multi-generational group and mixed reviews. Overall, the consensus was that the portion size was too small for the price. Group had both blackened and buffalo shrimp which were good size and flavorful, but you only get 8. Fries were good. Party had a caesar salad with shrimp (3 for $6!?) and Florida Citrus salad. Both people agreed there was not enough dressing. Staff was very friendly and atmosphere great (huge courtyard with live oak tree and stage), especially for outdoor dining in the age of Covid. We attempted to resolve the issues we had with the manager, Ryan, and were told he had complete faith in the kitchen staff, and that we were basically full of it... We also discovered that both salads we're actually missing toppings as well. They had 3 stars until that interaction. A good manager would have walked the tables and checked proactively. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.... It's a shame because this place deserved more.

If I could give it zero stars I would. I am posting this review on the same night we ate there, for reference. Waited an hour in line to order at the counter for only one cashier. The same employee that was at the register was also running drinks and food to tables, while other employees just stood at the counter and stared. Once we ordered our food, there was no seating. We saw people saving tables that hadn't even ordered food yet. Had to talk to a manager about it, she couldn't have cared less. Extremely rude in her response, copped an attitude with us, and did not offer any help or solutions. Had to wait for a patron to offer up their table because the manager wouldn't do anything about it. Nobody was bussing tables so we had to walk up and ask someone to clean the table for us; the two employees stared at us like we were stupid. Waited another 20 minutes for the food only to not even enjoy it. The avocado rice was so bland, I thought I was eating white rice with mayonnaise. Actually, mayonnaise would have had more flavor than that dish. Only received 6 grilled shrimp (that were rubbery) for an extra $8. If I wasn't so hungry I would have taken it right back to the kitchen and asked for a refund Fried shrimp were overbattered; we were eating more breading than fish. And at $22 for the rice dish and $20 for the shrimp basket, absolutely the most overpriced food I have eaten. The bathrooms were even awful; sanitary pads, feminine products, and trash overflowing. And the point of sales system was not functioning correctly; the employee had to manually enter every credit card number. Save yourselves and do not eat here! The employees need basic customer service training, including the manager, which is sad. They even need training on how to run a restaurant at this rate with the staff being inefficient. On top of all that, the food was not good, the wait was almost an hour and a half, no seating, and extremely overpriced. Someone call Gordon Ramsey because this is a...

A lady at the visitors center recommended this place, so my family decided to check it out. Upon entering there was a line of customers and we noticed there is only one girl taking order because they only had one register, but there are 8 or 10 employees crowding behind the counter. So we waited maybe 10 minutes in line to order.

After ordering, our three kids were all complaining how slow the food it taking and they were hungry. I sat there and watched people who ordered after us getting their food, so after 30 minutes of waiting I went up to the counter and asked how much longer it would be and explained my kids were tired and restless at this point. Everyone who I asked and went back to check didn't have answers.

I just don't understand why the kitchen and the counter area is just crowed with employees, but it took soooooooooo long for the food to be prepared.

After 40 minutes, which felt like an eternity with kids, part of the order finally came out. The kids meal each had 2 chicken strips, fries and a fruit cup, which tasted just average. (But also needed 40 minutes to be prepared?)

My husband had the fish basket which had 2 large pieces of fried fish, fries and a slaw for $24. I had the fish tacos and for $18, came with just slaw. I thought it would be good size fishes on the tacos, but they were just size of a finger. It was not worth the money for the amount of protein that it came with. For $6 more with the basket you get 5x more fish. The fried fish was not crispy and slightly soggy when it made it to our table as well.

We really felt like to chose the wrong spot to eat last night and it was quite an...

usually not one to write reviews but my experience tonight made it feel necessary. Upon entering it was completely obvious that this place is poorly managed. The hosts didn’t say anything to us, just brought us to the table. I didn’t really think too much of it because they were young but it definitely set the scene for the rest of our time here. Around us it seemed like there were plenty of staff but not much getting done. We waited awhile before being asked about drinks but again I shrugged it off. We ordered conch fritters as an appetizer and although they took a while, I was quite impressed with how good they were. As my entree I ordered the shrimp basket ($20). When it was set on the table it honestly did not look appetizing in the slightest, but I went ahead and had my first piece of shrimp… which tasted very odd. I wanted a second opinion so I had my bf try it & although he didn’t really notice the taste being off, the smell was horrible. he claimed it smelt like cleaner & I was shocked so I smelt it too & yep, burning sensation in my nose. A quick google search has informed me that shrimp & other seafood tends to let off this odor when it has gone bad or is spoiled. We were both quite disappointed and had lost our appetite at this point despite already having been there for a whole hour. Thankfully our server was incredibly kind and understanding and took both of our meals off the check but I was kinda surprised a manager never came to apologize. The atmosphere & decor seemed promising but the overall experience did not live up to our...
