Great atmosphere, clean restaurant, average to good food and pretty reasonable prices. There was a group of about 12 of us (kids and adults) who wanted to try a restaurant in the area, they were 12 mins away from where we were at the time, so we figured it would be a good place to get some wholesome food. Several persons from our party had frequented the restaurant (not same location), and had enjoyed the food. It was my first time trying it so I was happy to try it out. I do enjoy trying new restaurants to see if I could stumble upon a new favorite. Also, I love good food.
The wait time wasnt bad, we were waiting for maybe 15 mins before being seated. At some point I had went to the restroom and when I got back they were already seated. The waitress was pleasant but she was probably a bit overwhelmed. She forgot quite a bit of things and was back and forth throughout our stay. We did end up ordering a few other things as well though. From what I could see, she had at least 4-5 tables including us (I dont know if thats the norm or not). She brought hot croissants out within the first 10 mins of us sitting down. They were a bit too yeasty, a bit underdone. We mentioned it to her and she brought out some more. The second ones were done but they were ok, nothing to get excited over. Everything else was brought out in pieces, when the drinks came out the first ones came out then she got our order as she prepared to bring the other drinks. In her defense here, all of us did not have an opportunity to order our drinks with the first group. Only thing is she forgot to bring the straws, brought the second sets of drinks and we had to remind her about the straws again.
For the food, we all ordered the same time but initially some of the kids plates came out but 2 of the kids were still waiting to eat. All of the adults were waiting to eat as well. The food took a long time for the remaining ones to come out, and even after mostly everyone had got their food, there was still someone from our party waiting on their food, and they had only ordered a soup. Something my brother had ordered wasnt exactly as he wanted it but he still ate it. And after the food came it was mostly average. Some of the kids had ordered their penne pasta with alfredo sauce, they were not impressed with it, and 2 of them were adding salt and pepper to their food. My youngest ordered a side of fries, they were not seasoned at all, and my oldest ordered a side of shrimp. She said she enjoyed her food, which was good.
My neice tried an alfredo pasta as well with shrimp, she said it was average, and I tried their salmon with grilled/sauteed shrimp, white rice, sweet baby carrots and broccoli casserole. My food was pretty good but the portion for the rice couldve been a little more. I just had rice beneath the salmon and it was not enough. The salmom was nice and flaky and perfectly seasoned, and it paired well with the shrimp and sides. I would go back again and try the babyback ribs, which looked quite ravishing on the menu, or I'll have the same thing and ask for extra side of rice. We got lemonades (our favorite) for beverages. The lemonades were not great but they were good. I got a strawberry lemonade. I would recommend trying but if its a large group be on the waiter/waitress to ensure no one has to wait much longer than the others...
Read moreShould have left as soon as we saw the host. We walked in and there were 4 people at the host stand and none of them said anything to us. A guy finally comes up to us and ask how many and then walks away without saying anything. He then tells us a 5-10 min wait even though there was 10+ tables that had no one at them. As we are waiting we just hear one of the host cussing to the other workers on his Walkie talkie and after about 15 mins we were seated, unfortunately that was the best part of the meal. The server took about 10 minutes to greet us and then took our drink order and then we ordered our food. We got the appetizers of a salad, fried cheese, and potato soup. The salad contained a little cheese, a quarter of an egg, and 3 croutons... the rest was lettuce. The potato soup was cold and the cheese was ok. The coke had no carbonation in it and the alcoholic drink was meh. The last time the server would come up to us would be bringing the appetizer until it was time for the check. I got the chicken and I found some disgusting thing in it and didn’t eat it, the macaroni was cold, and the cole slaw was ordinary. I only ate one chicken tender before I stopped eating the whole meal ( the picture shows the meal after I was done with it). The server never did ask how the food was or come to check up on us or I would have told her I had a problem. The tables around us were never bussed even though there were an abundance of employees around doing nothing (which is why I don’t understand why I had to wait to get a table). No one ever came up to our table to take any plates or cups away from us which is explained in the picture. Even when she asked if I wanted a box and I said no, she did not ask how it was even though almost nothing on the plate was touched. I can understand a couple problems with the food but I can’t understand bad customer service, it’s unacceptable in a tourist area like this. I don’t know where the good ratings keep coming from because I did not experience any of that tonight. I would like to be contacted by management or higher...
Read moreI decided to dine here with my brother since I had eaten at a different location before and enjoyed the buttered croissants, and he was very excited to see what all the hype was about. Unfortunately, he never got to try them. Our waitress, Larra or Laura, I don’t remember but she had short brown curly hair and a tattoo on the back of her neck which we saw more than her face since she barely paid attention to us but kept walking back into the kitchen. It was not busy but they were short staffed, which we could understand. However, there were maybe two other waitresses serving the tables around us and they were friendly and on point. We had put in an order for croissants and were also waiting for the first complimentary order to come out as well. We put in an order for cheese curds and our food, the cheese curds came out but the croissants never did. We had been waiting already close to an hour and I had already asked her three times if they were ready. She kept saying she would bring them but then would go back to the kitchen and come out with nothing and not acknowledge us or go back to cleaning tables. All of the tables around us were enjoying their croissants and the waitresses coming out of the kitchen were bringing out croissants so it’s not like they didn’t have any. Multiple times I tried to call her name and she would look right past me, and once enough was enough I had to stand up and walk over to her after calling her over so loud the other tables around us even looked at me and she continued to ignore me. I asked her to cancel our food and just ring us up for what actually came out. She laughed and said that our food had just came out and happily canceled our order. Awful experience, awful service. I can understand being overwhelmed and understaffed, but when you are just walking around not doing your job and other waitresses are right in front of us doing their jobs perfectly, there...
