Shoutout to Texas Roadhouse Davenport – Top Notch Experience!
Tonight marked my third Texas Roadhouse visit in just four days—and I had to take a moment to say thank you. Every single experience has been exceptional.
The first night, I came in late and sat at the bar. Winnie took care of me and was incredibly friendly, quick, and attentive. She read the situation perfectly—I was just looking for a quick bite—and she recommended the kebab over rice with vegetables. It was delicious, perfectly portioned, and exactly what I needed. No drink, just water, and still a top-notch experience.
The next night, I brought my whole family—toddlers included—and once again, everything was excellent. The staff was so accommodating with the kids, the options were great, and everyone left full and happy.
But tonight was what really blew me away. I placed a takeout order just before close, only to realize I accidentally sent it to the wrong location. I was already having a rough day and dealing with a headache, so this experience definitely helped me finish the day on a positive.
The staff at the takeout window at the Davenport location went above and beyond. It was right at closing time, but instead of turning me away, the young woman at the window helped me place a fresh order with no fuss at all. She was polite, efficient, and incredibly helpful.
I called the other location to cancel the mistaken order, and again, they could have easily ignored a late-night call. But they picked up at 9:58 PM—two minutes to close—and simply said, “No problem, we’ll refund you. It’ll show up in about five days.” That kind of customer service is rare.
The food tonight, despite the hour, was still fresh and delicious. You’d never know it was the end of the night.
As a small business owner myself (I run a holiday lighting company in Virginia), I just want to commend you all. Everything from the cleanliness, to the branding, to the team culture—it’s all on point. You’ve clearly built strong systems and trained your staff well. I truly admire the way you operate.
I’d honestly love to light up one of your buildings one day. You all reflect the same values I strive to bring to my own business: consistency, customer care, and attention to detail.
Massive thank you again to the entire Texas Roadhouse team—especially at the Davenport location. You’ve gained a loyal customer and a big...
Read moreWe came in late in the evening with a large party (10 of us) - I hate being those people that come in 45 minutes prior to closing but we planned on being quick and easy. They had already closed half of the dining room and told us they didn’t have seating for a party of 10. So we would have to be seated at separate booths. Okay no problem. But they sat us at 2 separate booths not near each other, so immediately we were trying to figure out who is sitting with whom, (we were celebrating an occasion and had family that had flown in from Chicago that we do not see often) obviously we wanted to be seated somewhere close to each other. That’s the point of dining out, to eat and enjoy each other’s company. So we were disappointed when we were told by several of the staff that there was nothing they could do to accommodate because the other half of the dining room was already closed for the evening…this was at 9:25pm. They close at 10. Which I get it. Everyone is tired and ready to go home. We considered leaving. Which is definitely what the staff was probably hoping for, but as we were discussing other dining options, one server stepped up and said “I’ll take them” the others looked at her like deer in headlights…But she kindly took us over to the dining area that they told us was closed and sat us all together! We were elated. Aprie was AMAZING!!!! She had the best personality, was kind and witty and made us feel comfortable and not a burden like some of the other staff did. She was EXCEPTIONAL!! Hands down one of the BEST servers I’ve ever experienced. Her attentiveness was impeccable. Our food was superb!! Not a single issue with anyone in our party. Everyone was beyond grateful and satisfied. She didn’t have to take our large party and allow us to be seated together. She could’ve let us leave and went about her business, but she didn’t. She stepped up when everyone else couldn’t care less. We will never forget her exemplary efforts and kindness towards us. We were truly grateful. If you stop at this location, ask for APRIE to be your server AND...
Read moreFirst and last visit to a Texas Roadhouse. From what I learned is this is a new location and let me just say, its not good. I visited with a party of 8 on a family member's birthday we were seated within 5 minutes at a corner booth. Needless to say, it very inconvenient considering 4 kids caused others to move to just get out. The waitress Aprie overall was OK however she fell short when it came to ensuring the accuracy of the order and did not follow up when meals were ready the meals were in fact served by another small t-shirt waiter, Peter. I understand its a lot of people to serve however I only ordered a 6oz steak with 2 sides which were ok but the steak on the other hand was not and was still bleeding I got Medium rare instead medium-well the manager in our small and only encounter offered to remake, only to bring a steak charred to death and proceeds to say "oh you can take it home with you" if I'm not eating this garbage here, why in the world take it home and eat it? Why not offer a gift card for another visit on a different occasion not that I would, but it would at least show a degree of professionalism or willingness to compensate as we have paid over 200$ already and were getting ready to leave. I digress, for it not to have been busy upon arrival the bathroom was in poor condition. The sink in the men's restroom was leaking all over the floor the moment you start washing your hands very unsanitary, part of the restaurant isn't open which had seats more accommodating for our party, saw a dead roach (disgusting), staff was CLEARLY more concerned with other things besides providing good service and correct orders. The fact that this place recently opened is disturbing. Ultimately, there's nothing good about this Texas roadhouse besides the outside of the building. If you value service and want to enjoy a good meal in a great family environment go elsewhere you won't get that here, this place is borderline the worst....
