Absolutely Horrible Experience – Store #195, Sand Lake Location
I’ve been a loyal Firehouse Subs customer for years, and I’ve always loved the quality of food and service — until today. My experience at the Sand Lake location was so disappointing, it completely ruined my lunch and left me questioning whether I’ll ever return to Firehouse Subs again.
I placed my usual order and, as I always do, kindly asked for extra pickles. When I picked up my sub, Manager Tony handed me two extra pickles, which I appreciated. I then asked for two more, as I regularly do, and even offered to pay for them. To my shock, he flat-out refused, rudely telling me “no” — not once, but multiple times — and with no explanation other than a dismissive attitude.
When I calmly asked again and reiterated that I’d be happy to pay, he responded in an unnecessarily rude and condescending tone, stating “absolutely not.I will not I already gave you two” His demeanor was unprofessional and completely unacceptable. I asked if there was anyone else I could speak to, and he told me “no,” that no one else could help me. He was the district Manager.
The situation only got worse. I decided to sit in the lobby and eat my sub, but Tony began sweeping aggressively right next to where I was sitting, slamming chairs around and creating an incredibly hostile environment. I felt extremely uncomfortable and disrespected, especially in front of other customers.
This experience was completely uncalled for and reflects poor management and customer service at its worst. I have never been treated this way at any Firehouse Subs location, and I’m truly saddened that such a simple request turned into such an upsetting ordeal.
Unless this is addressed, I will not return to this location — or possibly any Firehouse...

I have been a loyal firehouse customer for years & I’ve never had a bad experience at any of their locations, until tonight (March 2nd) We arrived to this firehouse location around 8pm (1 hour before closing) and the sign outside was turned off. My roommate and I walked into the location and said “hello”, we were not greeted with the original “Welcome to firehouse” from the 2 women behind the counter. When we proceed to the register, the cashier did not even say ONE WORD. Did not ask what I wanted, or if it was “for here or to go”. When my order was ready, she just threw it on the counter & said “order is ready”. Once opening the box, my sandwich was EXTREMELY SOGGY…. To the point, where I would pick it up and it just all fell apart. I approached the register once again, where the cashier was leaned over the counter, on her phone. I asked to please have my sub redone because it is very soggy and falling apart. All the cashier could say was “everything that you ordered is in there, and you got oil/vinegar” I explained to her that I’ve been coming to Firehouse for a very long time and my sub has NEVER been made so poorly and I will like it redone. The cook then proceeded to say “so you want it redone because it’s falling apart” & I informed her that was correct.
