CRG Orlando is AWESOME!! I 100% recommend visiting this gym! I had such a great time here and could have stayed for hours and hours! Whether you are experienced or new to climbing, there is something fun and challenging for every climber here! There’s also a kids area that is great for kiddos or adults who are wanting to try some chill climbs before moving to the bigger walls.
First off, this is a massive bouldering gym! The variety of holds, climbs, and wall angles is excellent. There’s a large fitness room as well with plenty of weights, hangboards and training blocks. 3 different training boards too! Pretty much everything you need for a great workout. There’s also lots of tables to sit and work or chill at and several couches. Plus they just got a ping pong table!
The setting is excellent. During my time there there were more than enough climbs that were fun, challenging, and had unique movement. Even just walking around, I was super psyched by a number of climbs that grabbed my attention and looked just plain fun! If I were in the area, I’d have no problem finding plenty of new climbs to work on!
Overall, this gym is clean, there’s good vibes and music, and it’s pretty much a boulderer’s paradise. This would be a dope home gym for anyone local to Orlando. The prices are good for the huge facility that you get access to and all of the member benefits definitely make it well worth the monthly membership (including free rentals, chalk, and yoga and climbing classes!). There are no sign up or cancellation...
Read more10/10 RECOMMEND! As an enthusiastic climber, I’ve climbed at all the climbing gyms around the Orlando area and I have to say CRG Orlando is comprehensively the best bouldering gym here.
I’ve been a member since this gym opened and here’s what I observed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They make sure your needs are addressed. The facility is very spacious with a lot of wall to climb. It is also blasted with A/C so the holds have good friction. And if for some reason you don’t want to climb them, you have 3 climbing boards to try (Kilter, Grasshopper, Decoy).
The setting team is always hard at work. I noticed they set regularly every week so I always have something new to try. They set a variety of climbs that enables me to learn new movement. The v3 to v7 range, specifically, usually forces you to learn fundamental techniques in some capacity. I am also a short climber (5’4) and appreciate that most climbs are reachable with enough technique, which makes it as fair as it can get. It’s frustrating when a climb is harder only bc you can’t reach it but I rarely experience that here. Props to Evan and Candida for their exceptional setting and providing an excellent climbing experience here.
All in all, this is a great gym to climbing at to learn new things and have fun while doing it. Thank...
Read moreBeen climbing here since they opened and love this gym! It’s the largest bouldering gym in the area with a wide variety of walls and holds which provides endless climbs, from beginner-friendly climbs to challenging projects, not to mention the 3 new training boards. The route setting here is top notch with a reasonable grading system. The walls are fairly tall but the mats are very soft to fall on, and they have chalk bins for public use. The facility is very spacious so it doesn’t feel crowded even during busy hours. Even the weight room is vast and has all the necessary gym equipment. They also have a sizable yoga room with immaculate vibes that offers free classes to members. The bathrooms are tidy with clean showers. Now I must rave about the staff—everyone here has been so friendly, welcoming, supportive, personable, and genuinely happy to go out of their way to make your visit a 10/10 climbing experience. I also appreciate how they put in effort to build community with their members and are interested in our climbing progress. Once you go regularly, it definitely starts to feel like a home. I would highly recommend this gym for anyone visiting the area or any climbers looking for a home gym....
