Trinity Sports Grill — Restaurant in Florida

Well first let me start by this. I love the varsity club me and my wife use to always go to the one in Palm harbor. We were introduced to this on when we moved here 3 months ago by our in laws. past 2 visits not good. My wife is a bar tender and works a lot and at nights so sometimes we have to eat late so we come here. Visit 1 we were sat at a booth and witnessed in our booth a cochroach run across our table. When notifying our waitress she says oh that is just a polmetto bug. We asked to be moved my wife was or king for a pest control company for 2 yeas and knows it was a roach. And all Floridians know polmetto bugs are pretty big. Then we order our favorite app pretzel bites and they come out raw in the middle and the waitress after told they were raw says " we switched to a different pretzel and that they had problems all day". Also she always had an excuse for all of the issues and no solution. At one point she said that she was having problem with the cook in the back. Not even 20 mins later she said the owner was cooking in the back. Visit 2 We came in last night for some drinks and to share an app or 2. As we sat down near the bar everyone of the wait staff and bar tender was more concerned about asking are you going to serve them game. Then the bar tender came over and took our order. We ordered our pretzels and chicken fingers. Today I was woken up at 7:00 am by my wife very sick and it's do to something she ate from what the doctor's are sayin in the ER. Very disappointed in this and I hope it gets better because we do and are big varsity...

I recently moved to trinity from clearwater and seeing the name varsity club I thought of a familiar place, being that I've been to the clearwater location multiple times. I called at around 11 Pm to see what time the kitchen closed, I was told that it would be open till around 1230 - 1. When i arrived at 12 am I was informed that it's fry food only and no way could i get a salad or Mac cheese.. whatever not a big deal. I'm not entirely sure who was taking care of us because there were multiple people behind the bar, again whatever not a big deal. What is a big deal is the fact that the "bartender" was using her soda gun to spray customers and employees. Then proceeded to grab a damp rag and have a whipping contest with herself to see what small objects she can whip and hit which was also flinging water around the bar from the damp rag. Then started telling people that "this place sucks, you should go somewhere else". So the next day I decided to call and bring this to a managers attention... Which is where I found out that the kitchen closed from 1-2 and that the manager Austin was in fact there and witnessed all this on his own and seemed to be perfectly okay with it. I personally will never recommend this location to anyone nor will I ever go back but in hindsight keep up the great work in clearwater. Sincerely a...

UPDATED REVIEW FOR THE NEW OWNERSHIP, ORIGINAL REVIEW 5STARS BELOW Hate to do this but the new menu lost so many amazing wing flavors, so many creative burgers and chicken sandwiches, and added unnecessary stuff to be blander and wider in scope I guess? The price hike is one thing, but the menu gutting is criminal. I will MISS the old spot. I hope they can level this off, why buy a successful business and change it so much that it doesn't retain what made it successful? Good luck guys. Mediocre at best now.

**Original review My only regret is leaving without my leftovers! My wife and I split 2lbs of boneless wings which were AMAZING. The hot garlic was especially stellar, and the chicken quality and light breading rocketed us to happy bonelessville The fried jalapeno slices were SO good. They're lightly pickled so the heat was cut enough for all to share, and the Cajun fries were great too. Especially with the spicy ranch!

Bonus points- plenty of sports (including international and oddball which I appreciate, it's easy to just do baseball basketball and football but they had a few TVs for the odd sports) And the patrons were singing and dancing and having fun, giving the relaxed beach vibe even so far inland!
