Fish Bowl Kitchen — Restaurant in Florida

I loved this place for years until two recent visits when asking for special orders for 2 disabled adults turned into a huge inconvenience for their staff. We started to order two meals at half portion size, because we have done so before. I was immediately told, no, we don't offer that because there's no way to charge for it. I explained that we've ordered it before with permission from the owner. You would have thought I asked for the world with the horrible attitude and smack talking that started between two of the staff, one of which was a manager. The entire time of customizing the order, it was a problematic. When paying I explained to the manager our situation, again with no understanding but only an attitude, I expressed my feelings on how awful she was acting, all over an order that she didn't want to accommodate. Some educating of their staff is something that needs addressing or simply change the menu where orders can't be customized. Love the food but...

I've been there twice now. Both times have been a delight. First was only for Lavender & Rose boba tea. Strong flavor of rose but not overly sweet like some milk teas. Second visit consisted of Mango boba tea (suggested by employee and did not disappoint!). Definitely will order that flavor again. This time I included lunch. General Tso's Pork Belly Fried Rice bowl. I added vegetables. Spice was just right. Not too spicy but a hint of fire with LOTS of flavor! Four huge portions of medium sliced tender pork and perfectly cooked rice with just right amount of sauce. I'm a large eater and yet had enough for several meals. Both times everyone working there has been helpful and courteous. Facility is clean and the employees are above standards both on cleanliness and personality. What a waste of $17. I called in a takeout order of butter chicken. And asked for extra sauce. Was told 15 minutes and it'll be ready. I showed up 30 minutes later and I'm told it's not done yet. I asked how much longer, she says 10 minutes. 40 minutes for butter chicken?! I honestly should've told them to keep it and left. When I got home, there's no extra sauce. An entire plate of rice and maybe half a cup of sauce. That's their version of extra sauce?? The sauce are hardly covered Half of the rice --And the chicken is disgusting. Stringy... and purple? Also, Why on earth was the naan bread caught up in the small pieces?? Who does that?? I wasn't given an option for spice level so it was extremely bland. Save your money and go to the Indian place down the street. For five dollars more , you get better...
