Being a native from NJ and having times square less than 10 miles away there was GOOD pizza on just about every other block. It was normal to have a slice of pizza a minimum of 6-8 times a month. I had given up hope as every pizza I tried in Clermont, Minneola, Groveland, Orlando, etc was mediocre at best. At the time I no longer tried any pizzeria that had the name NY included in it. I always set the bar high and ended up disappointed. I swore to everyone back in NJ & NY that no one in Central Florida can make a good pizza. I drive past G's pizza every day to and from work. It took me about a year to finally try their pizza.
Walked up to the pizzeria and the walls were plastered with NY memorabilia. Just like any other "NY" pizzeria in Central Fl. So right then and there I was expecting the worst. Nonetheless, I went in since I was hungry. It was a small place which is what I'm used to back in Jersey but to my surprise it SMELLED delicious inside and they had PIZZA SLICES ready to go!! My serious face turned into a smile when I heard "Hey, how YOU doin'. What can I get for ya?". It was like I time traveled from Clermont back to Jersey.
The entire ride home I was salivating from the smell of the pizza. When I got home and took that first bite it just about brought a tear to my eye. I FINALLY FOUND GOOD PIZZA. I swear that night I could have drove back to the pizzeria and shook Mr. G's hand.
If you're from the tri-state area and happen to pass Clermont. This is the BEST pizza you will find in...
Read moreGod bless G’s Pizza. Everything you could ever want in a local place: Clean, extremely nice staff, consistent quality product. The pizza is always fresh, it’s so bomb. It’s so consistent, I’ve been here probably over 35 times and it’s always been good to great. I’ve come here during real hard times and it’s always improved my mood. The staff is extremely friendly. I’ve been given free food by the owner multiple times without asking, literally just out of the kindness of his own heart! The inside is always clean and I’ve never been nervous due to a cleanliness. It’s always been a clean, safe, space. Also, the view from the tables outside is so beautiful; especially during the sunset. My only complaint is that they close too early! G’s fresh at like, 3AM would change my life and probably my mental health as well 😁😁 Overall, I love G’s and I’ll always be a...
Read moreI really hate to bash on small businesses but the pizza we bought yesterday was so bad that I needed to say something. This is legitimately the worst pizza I’ve EVER had in my life. As a NY native i don’t expect a shop in clermont to get close to the real thing but in general very subpar. Gave us both stomach aches right after we ate… pizza super heavy & dense, mozzarella not melted all the way, sloppy etc. No flavor in the sauce, weird texture in the dough, sauce taste of nothing. The expensive prices doesn’t make any of this better. Very cozy spot just please guys change all of your recipes & start again because I will legitimately never eat here again even if it was free. Had to throw out the remainder of our pizza which we never do because we hate throwing away food. $40 for pizza and zepolis that were also...
