Hunter’s Chicken and Burgers — Restaurant in Florida

We were looking for a place that was kid friendly that would have food and child would like as well as something the adults in our group would like. We settled on Hunters chicken and burgers. It was nice to have the option to eat outside. It’s more of a “fast food” feel, which we didn’t get that from the website. The guy who took our order was young and impatient, with a slightly rude undertone. The kids got chicken tenders, another sliders, and Mac and cheese. The kids didn’t like the huge chicken tender pieces that seemed more like a size of a half of chicken breast (they were weirded out saying why are my tenders so big? lol) I ordered a fried shrimp basket. The shrimp was just okay they do not offer cocktail sauce niether do they have available upon asking. I also was supposed to get coleslaw with my basket however I had to go back into the restaurant and request it because they forgot to give it to me. After getting the slaw it tasted like it must’ve went bad and was unable to eat it. My son ordered the salad with mahi-mahi on it he liked it okay. Not sure why anyone would be so rude and condescending to anyone much less the hands that feed you such as your customers is beyond me. This is not about expectations or feelings, l. it is about how a business treats their customers. The person taking orders would be fired if I owned or managed this business. Not only me but four other customers he managed to upset while we were there. We have a condo in Sand Destin and that will be the last time we ever go here. I will tell all my guest and neighbors to avoid as well. I simply ask for a menu substitution which they have posted on their menu with a upcharge for the option. You would have thought I asked for a slugO burger. He quickly said no. I pointed out the option was on his menu and he got real short and rude with me. If it wasn't for having my family, I would have walked out the. He proceeded to treat 4 more customers the same way. Then he runs all around the place trying to look busy and in reality, he is in everyone's way. Dude, you are just too much! Stop, breath, and treat your customers with respect. We have choices and we will go...

My daughters & I kinda stumbled upon this place after trying to book an escape room w/ no luck. We started walking around checking out the stores in this small outlet & we were hungry so we wanted to try something we hadn’t had before. From the moment we stepped into this establishment the gentleman that greeted us was so welcoming and friendly that we were so happy to have come here!!! You dont get that a lot here in Destin because it’s always busy & workers seem tired & don’t want to be bothered w/ people. This guy was happy to have us & we felt that!! He answered every question we had & was very enthusiastic about it! He talked to us about cool places to visit because he has lived here for a very long time! He was so benevolent!!!

I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich half blackened. My daughter ordered chicken n waffles. My little one got fries as usual.

The food is absolutely delicious!! Piping hot & fresh right off the grill. I have to say that their chicken m waffles is the best I’ve had yet!!!
