Parlor Doughnuts — Restaurant in Florida

went here this morning and ordered 3 salted butterscotch iced lattes, went fine, until i got back into the car, drinking my latte and then as im taking a sip i feel something come up the straw from the cup and it goes into my mouth and its a chunk of something, pull it out of my mouth and oh…its a dead roach in my coffee i was served…i had already left the building and was on my way to somewhere else, so i called telling them what happened and the person on the phone said they would tell a manager and let them know…. no i want to get a refund for having a roach in my latte that they served me. so they issued a refund, but told me to come back up there with a picture of the roach so they could investigate the situation further. so i go back up there i show the picture, my latte i had only taken a few sips out of, and the roach itself. the person that made my latte then tells me that she already issued me a refund so she doesn’t know what i want her to do about it…. she had just told me to come back up there on the phone and now she doesn’t even understand why i came back up there. they never said sorry or anything about the situation. needless to say i was very disappointed about this experience and would advise people to be weary coming here...

Arrived at 1:30pm and there were only 4 flavors left in the case. Young lady behind counter said those were only options. We asked why their website said small batches were made throughout the day, but she said with only 2 hours until closing this was it. One of the kids needs gluten free so we asked if there were any in the back before deciding whether to leave or not. A young guy came out from the back and said he could go ahead and make some fresh for us but it would take 20-25 minutes. We decided to order and wait. The wait gave us an opportunity to look around and realize how filthy the place was. Spilled coffee on counters, dust/crumbs between case and wall, and the floor needed mopping especially in corners. In fact if we had noticed all this before ordering we would have absolutely left. The donuts were a little raw in the middle and not as good as we had anticipated from the other reviews. I hope they just were having a bad day, but some of the dirtiness seemed like it had been that way for a while. Many other customers came in while we waited and were also told what was left in the case was only options. Some left disappointed without...

Hey friends, trying a local delicacy, Parlor Donuts...so, the original thoughts of other reviewers were the donuts are sweet and tender. Well, there is a variety of different donuts to try. We had the sandy beach (cinnamon sugar type), raspberry filled with powdered sugar, a raspberry pistachio, cookies and cream and a honey glazed... Well, the donuts are a croissant type. I don't consider that a donut. A donut usually is yeast or fried or a cake type. These donuts were definitely different. I feel like the donuts were unevenly cooked...The flavors were nothing special. Very artificial, nothing leaving me to wanting to eat another.The staff seemed overwhelmed and under- prepared for the amount of business this small location had. Not to mention, there were zero napkins or paper plates. I had to rip up the box to use plates for the family... $22 for 6 donuts, which were very large but again, you're eating a croissant... I wouldn't go back, no thank you.There are tons of other locations you can try an actual donut, my thoughts only. Remember friends, enjoy what...
