Jon Smith Subs — Restaurant in Florida

Went in to try it tonight at 6:10pm on a Saturday and was told they were closing even though the sign said 7pm. What kind of restaurant closes at 6pm on a Saturday? Too bad too because the food sounds good and the pictures look good, but apparently they can’t even stick to the posted hours.

Response to owner: Watch your camera at 6:10pm you will see me and my wife enter and after a few minutes have an employee come out and we ask if they are open because things were put in front of the soda machines. Her response was they were closing in a few minutes so we said ok and left. Maybe train your employees a little bit and have them make people feel like they can order instead of making them feel not welcome and telling them they are closing in a few minutes.

Also what a weird reactionary response. Because you looked at the cameras at 6:55pm means I didn’t have the experience I had at 6:10pm? Took off the star for the food because you’re right I didn’t try the food, but the service and atmosphere was what I would have expected if I had walked in at 6:55 or after closing time.

Calling someone a liar because you don’t like what I have to say about my experience instead of asking for more information is a wild reaction.

What a great find! We were in town and heading to the beach. I happened to look on Yelp for some nearby restaurants and came across this place that had wonderful reviews. The owner greeted us upon entry and she was super sweet. We began talking she said that she and her husband opened this location about 6 months ago. It is a small sub shop that has a number of tables to sit down and eat as well as a fountain drink station.

The quality of the subs are great. These subs belong in its own category and are so good that one would never want to visit Subway or Jimmy John's again. These are open faced subs that have quality tasty meat in them. The bread is fresh and the portion sizes are huge. They offer both hot and cold subs. Personally, I got the turkey and it was delish! With customer service being a top priority, this restaurant is doing it right. I enjoyed my sub so much that I stopped back on my way out of town and got another one for the road. Of course, the meat and bread is not authentic (but they do bring their bread in from Miami) but for a chain - not bad. 2) Garden salad. Price on their Google location has 5.19 instore 6.50. Very small portion. Not even a cup of lettuce, white onion - salads usually have red onion. Attempted to order a protein that is low calorie.
