Avoid this place at all costs. The employees care so little about you as a customer that they will literally pretend you don't exist so they don't have to do their jobs. Most importantly, do not come here at night. They close whenever they want.
So, here's the story. Their hours are until 2 AM for dine-in. Posted on their website and on their door. I get there at 11:20. There are customers inside. I park, go up to door - locked. Must be a mistake - I check the side door, locked. I go back to the main door and bang on the window, more than loud enough for employees to hear. They ignore me. Customers are actively standing there waiting for their food. Another man comes up to the door, whose wife was apparently inside waiting for food. He also bangs on the window, trying to get the attention of the employees, and also fails. Eventually his wife notices and lets us both in.
I go over to the counter and inform the employee who was just ignoring me their door is locked. She goes "mmm-hmm." I say their hours are until 2 AM dine in, posted on the door. She nods. So I ask the obvious question: do you just close when you feel like? She says nothing. I ask for contact information for their owner, and she claims not to have any. At this point, I decided to leave.
The worst part? This happened before, even earlier, at 11:10. I overlooked it at the time, assuming something must have happened, but clearly this is just how they act. Didn't used to be - I came here all the time late when they had opened. Something changed a few months ago.
I really have to question things like food safety when the employees are this blatantly checked out and unsupervised. Who knows if you're going to get some foot lettuce. Also, am I wrong or is locking your doors during business hours with customers inside not illegal? What if someone left their property or worse, a child inside after stepping out to their car? Those employees were never going to acknowledge I existed.
My advice: go anywhere else. Skip this place. I'll never be visiting another Del Taco if they allow this kind of behavior.
Update: After two separate attempts to address these issues through their corporate contact form went completely ignored, I am confident in saying this is a problem with the entire company and will behave...
Read moreBrand new del taco, I was excited to finally have new place on 192 to eat at since I drive this stretch often. Tried it and it was amazing. Went back and I won’t go back again I am so livid.
First zero cars, they made me wait 10 min for 2 chicken tacos with onion added and a cheese burger with extra burger sauce cuz they are a lil dry if you don’t get extra. First my chicken in my taco was hard as a rock! I couldn’t even bite it and if I tried it would have broken my tooth. Second taco. Same thing!! Not edible chicken AGAIN! I thought ok, ond taco whatever, But two bad tacos? Wow. Okay so I breath I’m like I got my burger let’s do this, i eat part of it for two long black HAIRS to be intertwined in my lettuce and sauce. That was the final straw!! Also they had been super kind the last few times but the crew on Jan 31 was a joke and definitely didn’t know what they were doing. I don’t get why it’s so hard for buisnesses on 192 to just hire decent people. All fast food sucks and I’m forced to drive down to resort areas just for a decent meal or forced to sit in a sit down restaurant. Hire people with class and decent attitudes, people who actually give a crap about other people they are serving. End of rant I won’t be back. Brand new and already feels...
Read moreDel Taco is a great spot for quick, fresh, and tasty food. I recently stopped by and ordered a few tacos, and overall, I was pretty satisfied with the experience. The tacos had fresh ingredients, and the flavors were well-balanced. The meat was seasoned nicely, and the tortillas had a good texture. However, one thing that stood out to me was the amount of cheese. While I appreciate a good amount of cheese in my tacos, I felt that Del Taco went a little overboard. It overpowered some of the other flavors, and I would have preferred a more balanced ratio.
That being said, the food quality was still solid, and I love that Del Taco always serves fresh ingredients. The staff at this location was also incredibly helpful and friendly, which made the experience even better. They were quick to take my order, and everything came out hot and fresh in no time.
Despite the cheese issue, I’d still recommend Del Taco to anyone looking for a reliable fast-food taco spot. Next time, I’ll just ask for light cheese! If you’re craving fresh, affordable tacos with great service, this is a...
