Jam's Cafe — Restaurant in Florida

I have been going to this restaurant for a long time. I know the individuals that run the place. I also know the waitresses. The waitresses are like no others. Each waitress has her own way of dealing with people on a day-to-day basis. That base is depends on the mood and the attitude of the individual that’s approaching this with waitress. The waitresses will give back what they accept. What I mean is you harass them? They’re gonna harass you. They are loving, caring and Upstanding individuals that could work in any restaurant and draw a crowd. These waitresses and the hostess Whoever that may be are at their upmost, professional appearance, professional worth at ethics, and by far the most loving people I’ve ever associated myself with in a restaurant. As far as that goes that I have ever associated myself with in any atmosphere or location. So when I tell you that Jim’s Café. Is of the upmost respected, and the food is at its most excellent quality and quantity. There is no other restaurant in the neighborhood in my opinion that could even come close to the atmosphere, the loving care that one gets when they enter the door, the respected welcoming greeting when they get when they walk through that door and while they are there. It is my opinion that this restaurant is one of the best in Springhill Florida. When I lost my wife 10 months ago, I did not even know about this place. A gentleman from church introduced me to jam’s Café and I’ve been going there. at least once a week since I was introduced to it. I eat out more now that my wife has passed and I have no one to cook for or with. As being a one time chef I can pretty well take care of myself. But it’s no fun or exciting when you’re cooking for yourself. Therefore, I choose to associate with members of the Jim‘s Café. There is no other restaurant like it in my opinion. The food is great. The service is excellent. The atmosphere is like no other and the love and caring that you get from the people within is unexplainable. The love you get when you walk in the door is like you’re walking in and hugging the Lord.. You find no better Love from any finer people than those at Jim’s Café. The waitresses there and the hostess are one to be commended and honored of their service to the people in that area for the service they provide to these people. When talking to the waitresses or the hostess, you Feel like you’re at home talking to a sibling or your parents or your wife or your husband. It’s a one on one conversation. I want to sign off now, but there will be more reviews coming in the future from this individual because I find no fine a restaurant in the area that can match. Or hold up against jam’s café. Unfortunately I had a bad experience at this location not sure what happened but I heard good stuff about this place.

I think it was over priced and the service was very poor I spend $46 for me and my 11 yr old she has a Mickey Mouse pancake with side a bacon, hash browns and toast everything was charge separately as individually sides not sure why the waitress charge it that way but it came out more pensive than ordering a hungry man that was all that included except for the eggs and if and less portion for better price. I had Oder a BLT sandwich with 1 slice of American cheese and a fried egg that was also charged individually.

When we first got our Oder my daughter had to wait for her toast that they forgot when I received my order I received a BLT without the Bacon they took it back and added the bacon and said they re-made the order but it took them 10min to just add the bacon because that’s what they did when the waiter brought my correct order my daughter had finished her food and I didn’t even eat mines at the restaurant because she brought the food with the check and a box.

So I didn’t even enjoyed my food at the restaurant which was the whole purpose of going out to eat. when I complained they said they couldn’t do anything about it and that they would give a $2 off coupon to used on my next visit. Seriously it wasn’t even busy they had 4 tables in used at the restaurant. If I knew we were going to treat us like this I would’ve went to ihop, dennis, Cracker Barrel, Perkins or bob’s Evan’s. For better service and better price and at least they offered you water.

Then we wonder why small businesses around the neighborhood are not being supported and going out of business and all the big businesses are blooming. I’m an all 100% supportive of small businesses for the tradition. But this experience with Jam’s Cafe was horrible and the employees...

Updated: Thank you for the response! I hope this review helps with future orders. We will wait a few weeks and try again. Very disappointed in the service today. I called at 8:23 am and placed a breakfast order. I was told about 20 mins and our food would be ready. I had three orders of 2 eggs with a side of meat and potatoes. We arrived a 8:55 am, my husband walked in to get the order. It was told to him this order was not ready and he told them he would be waiting outside. 10 minutes goes by , still no ordered .I walked in to ask how much longer until it would be ready. The lady at the counter looked threw a few delivery orders. I had then advised her that we called and placed the order to go over the phone. She then said " oh ok let me go look" seconds later she came back with the order. I asked how long had the order been ready, she advised at least 5- 10 mins. I was frustrated at this point because we had been waiting at least that amount of time if not more. I told her I was frustrated because a few weekends back we did the order through Door dash and had been encouraged to call and place the order over the phone because it makes it easier. I was told there were two different hottess, they were training, and had parties inside the restaurant to serve.

Food was good but cold and rightfully so as the order had been sitting ready to go. I felt the staff that I dealt with really didn't care about customer service and wished they had a little more sincerity in regards...
