My friends and I went to the Marina Bar and Grill on the recommendation of one of the Hilton Hotel workers. There were 7 of us and we basically had the same meal, Prime Rib and Mashed Potatoes. We arrived and it took us a minute to get a table. We were seated in 2 separate tables next to each other which was ok. It took the server Hayley several minutes to get to us. She finally comes over and takes our orders. It took her a while to get us our Sodas which, 2 in our party were given the wrong soads, of which we had to ask another person to assist us in getting the correct sodas. Then about 40 minutes later a man from the kitchen comes out and we stoppedhim to inquire about our salads. He brought our 1st table their salads and our second table had to ask, "what about our salads". We then waited another 20 minutes for our Prime Ribs to be delivered by someone other than our Server Haley. Our mashed potatoes we cold but thenPrime Rib was amazing. Very flavorful.
Haley never came back to the table and ask if we needed a refill on our Sodas. She never came by and asked if we needed anything. It took her forever to get us our checks. We were basically forced to pay a tip that we felt she didn't deserve at all. She didn't even come and ask us if we were okay even after she saw that we had asked for a manager and had to unfortunately had to complain to another server. We were very displeased with Haley and...
Read moreAfter the absolute disaster that was the fish taco experience at LandShark Bar & Grill—bland, super dry, wildly overpriced, and paired with some of the slowest service I’ve ever endured—I didn’t think I’d trust another seafood taco again. But thank God for Marina Bar & Grill.
Their grouper fish tacos are on a completely different level. The grouper was fresh, tender, and perfectly seasoned—everything LandShark’s fish lacked. Then they elevated it even further with creamy goat cheese, which added a bold, tangy richness I didn’t know I needed. The tacos were finished with their signature Pico dicao, a bright and zesty salsa that packed just the right punch without overpowering the delicate flavor of the fish.
Every bite was balanced, flavorful, and expertly crafted. No dry bites. No sad tortillas. No waiting 45 minutes to be disappointed. Just top-tier tacos served with attentive service and real culinary care.
If you’ve been burned by LandShark like I was, consider this your wake-up call: Marina Bar & Grill is where the real fish taco experience lives. Save your money and your appetite—this is the spot that...
Read moreWe went on a Thursday night around 7pm. It was busy and we waited for a table which is understandable. They took ages to clear off the table from the last party while we sat and waited to be served. We had to find a dirty food covered menu to choose our meals. Then they took 20+ minutes to even take our order, along with the table next to us. The party of 7 next to us got their order before our party of 3. We had to ask more than once to the status of our food, which we were told it will be "just a few more minutes ". After 1hr of waiting we got our food and it was a major disappointment. The kids meal hot dog was overly salty and overcooked dry. My husband ordered a $20 seafood basket with fish and chips, boasting the catch of the day. The fish portions were so small you could not even see them under the fries which were dry and salty. The $18 blackened fish tacos were overly salty and doused in cheese which made for a horrible experience. They boasting the freshest fish on the baytowne wharf, but we had better than this in our own town in Tampa. Not worth the wait, especially the price you pay for the...
