🌮🥑 TACOS, VIBES, AND VIEWS! 🌊✨ Mayita is an absolute gem on the St. Augustine bayfront—a must-visit for taco lovers! The moment you step in, you're welcomed by breathtaking waterfront views, a warm atmosphere, and the aroma of authentic Mexican flavors. 🌮 Their street tacos are nothing short of perfection—fresh, flavorful, and packed with love. The made-to-order guacamole is next-level creamy, and the variety of options (including vegetarian and pescatarian choices) ensures there's something for everyone. 🍽️ Pair it with a mimosa, beer, or wine, and you've got the perfect brunch or afternoon treat. 🍳🥂 The little shop inside is a bonus, offering artisan souvenirs, fresh fruit, snacks, and travel essentials. The best part? Locally owned and full of heart, Mayita delivers not just incredible food but a true St. Augustine experience. 🌅 ⭐ Pro tip: Grab a seat outside, soak in the views, and let the tacos do the talking!

Hard to even put into words how great the food is here, but I will do my best. For starters the vibe is great. Spanish music playing in the background with a bohemian meets Latin decor, is simply beautiful. They make their own juices that are great, I had a hibiscus drink and my husband had the guava juice. He got two carne asada tacos and an al pastor taco with rice and beans. The Al pastor was by far the best I have ever had. I got the taco salad with shredded chicken and a side of refried beans. The beans were some of the best I have ever had. They also homemade two different hot sauces that are excellent. The server was friendly and knowledgeable on the menu and the owner was super nice and welcoming as well. I highly recommend this spot when in St Augustine.

More intimate sized restaurant run by a small team. We had the mango and watermelon agua fresca’s, particularly the watermelon was our favorite one, incredibly refreshing. The salsa and queso was a smaller (but not tiny) portion but this was honestly better for us because we tend to eat a ton of queso and salsa if offered the option. The taco flight if you’re hungry is a great option to get a sample of everything my favorite was the braised beef. Noah was attentive and excellent in his service with his recommendations on dishes. Parking available through the nearby paid parking lot for the area a very short stroll away

Make sure you order only what the menu states. I will come back to explain that comment. I found this place on Maps as I saw their menu could accommodate my zillion food allergies. I spoke with a young guy who took my order and was super nice. I explained my allergies and he understood. I got my salad and it had a dressing on it which I cannot have. There may have been a misunderstanding when I mentioned this to the nice guy but he was new, so it's all good. Not a big deal until he asked his dramatic boss or whomever was in charge. He asked the in charge jerk what was in the dressing. This in charge jerk just rattled off what the ingredients were just to shoo me away. I was like, I need a salad without the dressing. Drama boss man didn't like that. He said, 'It says on the menu that the dressing is ON TOP'. Seriously with this guy?! Wow. Why he is in the restaurant business I will never know. He huffed and puffed a little after I said I wanted to deviate from his menu lol. I left a fat tip and I hope ALL of which went to the nice guy and not the jerk. I do not...

Perched along the sun-kissed edge of the ocean, this gem of a Mexican restaurant is nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted not just with warm hospitality—but with the genuine, gracious charm of the owner, who treats every guest like a cherished friend.

The food? Unapologetically spectacular. The lamb burrito is a revelation—rich, tender, and infused with flavors that linger like a good memory. It’s the kind of dish that makes silence fall across the table as everyone takes that first bite. Paired with a glass of guava juice—vibrant, fresh, and bursting with tropical brightness—it becomes an experience rather than just a meal.

As if the culinary excellence weren’t enough, the setting offers an uninterrupted view of the ocean, where waves and flavors compete for your attention. It’s the kind of place that feels both like a secret and a celebration.

A must-visit in St. Augustine—where authenticity, artistry, and atmosphere come together in...
