Went in here to kill some time and ended up finding the place quite fascinating. Low and behold, we found a couple pieces of art we wanted to purchase, including one of a skull with a tentacle coming out of it by an artist named Collins (according to the signature on the bottom right), and there was also a cool piece that was very Florida-esque of an alligator. However we chose not to purchase anything because we were being followed by the owner. At first we just thought she was being overbearingly helpful, because she pretty much walked through the store with us going into each section right behind us, constantly with us. She eventually went back to sit behind her little desk/ counter and we chalked it up to her just really wanting to make a sale, especially since nobody else was in there save us. However a few other people then proceeded to walk in, and she greeted them but did not remove herself from behind the counter. They left, more people came in, and again she did not move to go anywhere within their proximity. However when we went into the very back room, she again got up from her desk and followed us in, suddenly finding it important to straighten up some of the artwork inside that room at the same time we went in. And coincidentally, she finished in that room right when we walked back out. Around this time another group of people came in, and save the quick “hello and welcome to the shop,” she left them be. So either we looked very lost and in need of a guided tour, or she felt like we looked like people she needed to keep an eye on. Oh well, because we really were going to buy some art, but not after the assumption of character she appeared to have...
Read moreFrom the first moment you walk into Zora Bora Gallery, while standing on the porch entrance, you hear the most amazing sound which is their windchimes. I wanted to sit and linger, but I was too intrigued in the contents of this shop. When you enter talk to one of the folks that work there and they will tell you the stories behind the artwork as most of the producers are local artists. this was one of our favorite shops because of the variety of the art pieces and also the size of the store is broken up into very small rooms and you get the feeling that there’s some themes going on as well as some very uniquely placed...
Read moreThis store is just fabulous! I highly recommend stopping in when you walk St. George Street in St. Augustine! (It is actually on a cross street, Cuna Street, though.) They have a great selection artwork and jewelry all from local artists. I purchased a really cool, hand made bracelet w/ a metal peace sign and beautiful beads on it. The jewelry is all hand crafted and so unique! And the best part was one of their owners/ store managers, Robin. She was very kind, very welcoming, and really funny! My mom and I had a blast w/ her! This shop made our trip to St. Augustine well worth it! We would...
