Rip off alert, McDonalds on US27 and Sand mine Rd. The price of $4.49 for a large fry is bad enough. Now let me tell you a story on how they lost me as a customer. I went with my kids to enjoy a Happy time at the home of the Happy Meal. I ordered 2 large fries in addition. And then the food came out it was "filled" but flat. When I picked them up and opened the carton of fries, they were less than half full. So, I took a deep breath and went up to the counter and asked very politely, can you please fill this up for me? Oh...my G.....they treated me like.... I was so embarrassed. The first girl (I think her name is Sharay, manager but she did not have a name tag) told me " that's how we do it here. The carton needs to be flat and YOU SEE, THIS IS FULL! We are losing money by opening the box and filling it" (I thought "losing money? You charged $4.49 for a large fry"...$9 for 2)
The other "manager" a kid named Alex (this one did have a name tag and id'ed as a manager) looked at me like I'm begging for food and actually went and weighed the carton. He said, yup, that's 5 Oz. That's what it is suppose to be. (In my head I was like 5 oz? For a large fry? For $4.49 a carton? $9 for 10 oz of fries???? Thats highway robbery. Even if the box was full its still a rip off. I woukd just be happier about it.)
I was belittled by these employees. Did not feel the magic and love of McDonalds. I've been a customer of McDonalda my entire life. I have never been treated like that. "Lose money"? Over a few more fries.....no, I'm sorry, now you lost a customer. AND I WILL MAKE SURE I tell everyone who will listen.
Not cool.
Not cool to embarrass me in front of my kids, the employees and other guest
Not cool to not create a solution. All I asked for is to provide me the large fries filled that I PAID A LOT OF MONEY FOR!
NOT COOL that it was the "managers" that preferred to lose a customer over losing a few cents in giving me what I paid for. 2 large fries.
That was me in person, I can not even imagine the ripping off they are doing to those to get the food delivered.
Thank you for listening. Customer service needs to be addressed. We need to stop "just taking it".
Have a great weekend. Don't eat at this McDonald's. They are definitely PROFIT over...
Read moreWorst experience I have had in my entire life in a McDonalds. Please hire a competent manager. I put in a mobile order and somehow the gps didn't work when I paid for my order. They said my food was at a different store, but I ordered my food from their parking lot and the gps is supposed to automatically choose the closest store. The first employee refused to help me, so I asked for a manager, then a young girl who obviously was not the manager came over and said can't help you. I asked for the actual manager, and finally the real manager comes to the window and tells me I'll have to reorder. She tells me that I have to enter the correct store when ordering, and I mentioned that the gps picks the closest store. She said it doesn't work that way and that I would have to reorder and choose the correct store, so I hit reorder and the GPS automatically picks their store this time. I showed her and she just shrugs her shoulders, then my mobile app says I can't reorder because I have another order in process. So now I'm trying to pay for my order a second time and I can't and she refuses to do anything. She tells me to leave. I call the store to ask for the owner and she tells me I can come to the store if I want to speak to someone. They hang up on me, so I call back and ask for the number for the corporate office, and they hang up on me again and block my phone number. The management here is horrific. You just lost a lifelong local customer McDonalds. Unless they get some new management I will NEVER return to this JOKE of...
