Oak & Ember — Restaurant in Florida

WOW! WOW! WOW! This place is worth every dollar you will spend there for whatever event it may be. Great food, great ambience, and a great staff. Put that all together, and you have an awesome dining experience with your family and friends.

My wife and I were vacationing in Florida for a few days and I had my sight on bringing my wife to Oak & Ember in honor of our wedding anniversary. I called Donny Cohen, the owner, and asked him if he could work out a little surprise for my wife that would really make her night.

The food was out of this world. Yes, the portions seem a little small, but they hit the spot and you come away satisfied. After our dinner, the waiters brought out desert for us on a platter with the gift I got for my wife placed between our two desert portions that were crowned with sparklers shooting sparks into the air. My wife was beyond surprised and it's all thanks to the great work of the staff at Oak & Ember.

Leo, our waiter, was really nice and courteous. He took great care of us and ensured that the surprise went down with precision (with Donny's help of course😉!)

All in all, I would highly recommend Oak & Ember to anyone who is visiting Boca and take advantage of the awesome dining experience that they have to offer. Trust me that you will walk away more...

This place is a hidden Gem. It was not busy at all when we were there. If this were in Surfside or Hollywood, you wouldn’t be able to get a seat without a reservation in advance. The décor is beautiful - everything from the place-settings to the lighting - creating a really nice comfortable atmosphere. The tables are not crammed in, so even if full, I am sure it would not be loud like most kosher places where the noise is overwhelming. The service was terrific and most importantly the food was delicious and presented artfully and tastefully. The prices are comparable to other kosher restaurants of this caliber. They have a nice wine menu. Some kosher restaurants really upcharge on the wine but the prices here were very fair. Gaby was a great server and the staff was very attentive and helpful. I would highly recommend Oak and Ember for a special occasion or for just a really nice date-night...

We came for a celebratory dinner and found they had no wine/cocktails. This was not indicated on their website which still posts a drinks menu. Deceptive. Disappointing. The waiter tried to describe the special but only got half way through and forgot the rest! My steak was quite good but my wife's $70 "Lamb chops" were 2 postage size chops; hardly exaggerating. We complained about the portion size. We had to ask for refill of our water glasses. The waiter brought our bill with a 20% tip added automatically. I told him we were two people, not a large party which understandably gets an automatic tip added. He took it off and said we could tip whatever we wanted. He did bring us sorbets on the house after hearing our displeasure. All in all not an upscale dining experience and not worth the prices. No wonder the restaurant was quite empty....
