It was "just ok" and for about $50-60 per person, that's not OK.... I have no problem spending top dollar on good food and service, but I've had better Hibachi food and much better service for less money.

We went in on a Sunday evening, the place was half empty. In spite of that, they made us wait for nearly 30 minutes to sit. When we were sat, a family that arrived well after us was placed in front of the hibachi stove, and our family was placed off to the side, where our kids could not see the chef. We sat for almost 15 minutes unattended at that table until I got up and called the manager. Then a server came.

By the time we got a glass of water we had there for more than 45 minutes.

When we asked the manager to give us a table where we can see the chef, which is why we're paying a premium, she said we'd have to wait another 30-45 minutes, or convince the other family (whom we don't know) to get up and move.... um, huh? How bizarre is that?

Eventually the other family at the table had their own issues and got up and left the restaurant, so we slid in to their spots and at least that problem was resolved.

I will say that our Chef's show was excellent. He was a lot of fun, the kids laughed a lot, and it really saved the night. If not for the Chef, we would've had an aweful experience.

Besides that, the food was just OK. It seems like they were short on Hibachi Chef's and they were trying to go fast. Our food was overall pretty flavorless, but it was fresh and overall just OK. Nothing had to go back, but I've had better Hibachi, for less money. I also didn't like that they kept bringing other tables foods to be cooked by our chef, which in the end resulted in my daughter waiting an extra 10 minutes for her food because the Chef prioritized another table. Again, our chef, at our table, was cooking for another table, and made parts of our table wait. Again, bizarre.

Overall, it just felt like a place that was distressed, understaffed, a bit dingy, and poorly managed. Everything took long, and felt rushed when it came. The food was just OK, and the prices are a bit exorbitant for what it is.... rice and chicken with some veggies.

Won't be going back, as I'd get a much better dinner, with much better service, for the same $$...

Ok. So we went here because my wife was craving Hibachi.

We arrived at the concierge and asked if we were eating sushi or hibachi. We are a family of 5 and decided we want both and said Hibachi because in other hibachi restaurants, they would bring the sushi to the hibachi table. So we order a combination of sushi, fried rice, and hibachi. Wife ordered a Pinot Grigio.

I will be the first to tell you we spend at minimum $100 at every outing before calculating alcoholic beverages into the check.

So our kids love fried rice (and they fry it in front of you anyway) so they each were going to order fried rice and have some sushi. My wife ordered hibachi filet mignon as we had originally planned and the first server we had came back and said that EACH of us had to order hibachi at the request of his management.

So now we’re being forced to order a full hibachi meal even though we’re not all hungry for it. So we opt to move since we were under the assumption that our order was placed and in order to play by the house rules we move to a conventional booth.

Our second server tells us that we have to start our order over from scratch. We had been inconvenienced enough already so we decided to close out our check and leave.

The restaurant itself is really nice and the food smelled delicious. I have no doubt that if your entire party wants hibachi then you’ll have a great experience.

I don’t think as customers we were treated like the restaurant valued us. At least that’s how the restaurant management made us feel. And it wasn’t crazy busy either. The wait was no more than 10 minutes to be seated. I don’t understand how you feel it’s necessary to have paying customers in the middle of waiting for an order to move because they’re not all ordering hibachi. If they were going to fry rice for each of my kids then I could see the hibachi chef getting his use of the table.

We’ve never been told otherwise at any of the MANY hibachi restaurants that we’ve been to. At the end of the day, it boiled down to the restaurant not being content with us as customers and made us feel like we were...

My recent visit to Osaka Japanese Restaurant was an absolute delight, providing both delicious food and an entertaining culinary show. Based on the video, it's clear that Osaka offers a classic hibachi experience, and they execute it wonderfully. The highlight, of course, is the interactive cooking right at your table. Watching the skilled chef prepare our meal was truly a spectacle. The video captures the impressive fiery display, with flames leaping up from the grill as ingredients are expertly chopped, tossed, and cooked before your eyes. This theatrical element not only adds to the enjoyment of the meal but also assures you of the freshness of everything being served. It’s more than just a dinner; it's a performance that keeps everyone engaged and entertained throughout the meal. The chef's precision and flair are remarkable, making even simple tasks like flipping rice or vegetables seem like an art form. Beyond the captivating show, the food itself was fantastic. While the video focuses on the cooking process, the end result is a perfectly cooked meal with vibrant flavors. The aroma alone was enough to make your mouth water, and the taste certainly lived up to the anticipation. The attention to detail, from the perfectly seared meats to the tender vegetables, indicates a commitment to quality ingredients and careful preparation. The atmosphere at Osaka is also worth noting. The setup with the shared hibachi tables creates a lively and communal dining experience, perfect for families, friends, or even a date night where you want something a bit more dynamic. The restaurant appears clean and well maintained, adding to the overall comfortable feeling. In summary, Osaka Japanese Restaurant offers a thoroughly enjoyable dining experience. The combination of excellent, freshly prepared food and the captivating hibachi show makes it a standout choice for anyone looking for a fun and delicious meal. We spent a few days on vacation in Destin, Florida. We wanted an experience where the kids would have fun and we would eat delicious food. Excellent service, attentiveness, and fresh food.

Extremely disappointed. This is my first time in Destin and my friends wanted to try this place out. I am currently sitting here at 8pm still waiting for a cook to arrive at our grill. We arrived at 6pm and the host told us it would be a 45 min wait. After an hour of sitting at the bar we were told we could be seated. For some reason we were seated next to the only other person in the room that was the same race as us. This may have just been a coincidence. We ordered our food and sat as the people who came before us were serviced. We were excited that after an hour and a half that we were next. Then we see the cook walk past us and go straight to the table that was seated after us. So I asked why this happened and our waitress said it was because they had a party. I would not recommend any of my military coworkers or friends to come here. For the price you are paying you should be expecting great service and that’s simply what we have not received. I hope this is not how they have treated other service members. The chef has just arrived at 8:18 thank goodness. He has apologized for the long wait which I appreciate. Hopefully the food is good.
