First, the good. The staff is friendly and the room was clean and quiet with a comfortable bed and the A/C works great. The location is convenient to Publix Market and Starbucks and it is only a short drive to the beach and plenty of retail.||What to know: If you have stayed here before 2025 you should know that a number of guest amenities and housekeeping services have been reduced or eliminated entirely from when this hotel was owned and operated by Best Western. For the record I am a Hilton Honors Member and am generally quite satisfied with the guest experience at Hilton run hotels over many years.||We have stayed at this location in a King Suite the past 4 years for a four night stay, so especially for returning guests, here is what was disappointing to us in this stay under the Spark by Hilton makeover.||Storage: Previously there was a good quality chest of drawers in the bedroom which had plenty of room to put away folded clothing, out of sight. Now, the bedroom has a large TV stand with one shelf. Likewise the two bedside tables previously had a drawer and a shelf, but now it is a smaller table with no shelves or drawers. Only six hangers were provided for us to hang clothing for our 4 night stay. ||Housekeeping: We were here for a Sunday - Wednesday 4 night stay. I was told that we could only receive housekeeping in our room for one day (upon request) Tuesday.|We used one of our own shopping bags to store overflow trash because there is only one small waste can in the outer room and one in the bathroom. We received our room cleaning on Tuesday as requested but housekeeping failed to check and refill the in-shower body soap, shampoo and conditioners, one of which was completely empty.||Ice: The hotel provides ice makers on each floor but no longer provides an insulated ice bucket with lid in the room for you to collect ice. I went down to the front desk to inquire and after waiting in line behind another guest who was handed a toilet plunger over the counter to resolve their in room backup, was given a small plastic container to use to get some ice. The 2 provided clear plastic cups in the room were so thin and flimsy, I picked up a couple of paper coffee cups downstairs for our water.||In room coffee maker: I thought that a compact in room k-cup style coffee maker with a few coffee pods included was an industry standard in quality hotels in the U.S., but an in room coffee machine is not provided, nor available when I inquired at the front desk. I made a sleepy 6 a.m. trip downstairs in pajamas each morning coffee to bring two coffee cups back up to the room to wake up more before checking out the free breakfast. ||Free breakfast: Previously at this hotel the free breakfast included both hot and cold selections, such as waffles, scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage, toast as well as a good selection of fruits and hot and cold cereals and juices. Now, there are no longer any hot food selections, only bagels and cream cheese, yogurt from a machine, juices and your choice of Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes or Cheerios or microwave oatmeal. Get there early if you want a banana on your cereal, those run out quickly. Packaged muffins are also provided and a coffee dispenser continues to be provided at breakfast.||The staff (some of whom were former Best Western) were friendly and sympathized with us about the reduced amenities but said this was these changes were out of their control.||Anyway, know this, if you're OK with this level of amenities, you may enjoy your stay just fine. However, we were disappointed with the changes and next time will probably look for a hotel at the same price point that provides the amenities we are accustomed...

On Friday July 18th, 2025 , we stayed at your hotel — Spark by Hilton in Miramar Beach/Destin, Florida — for one night in Room 119. As we reported to your front desk during our stay, the accommodation and overall experience were unacceptable for the following reasons:
Despite paying $325 for a room to accommodate four guests, we were given only a king bed and a pull-out couch, which was inadequate and not what we expected when booking directly through your website. The room was infested with bugs, which made it unhygienic and uncomfortable. The air conditioning did not function, and the room stayed at a constant 80°F, making it unbearable. After expressing our concerns to the front desk, we were only provided with a small fan, which did not improve the situation at all. At check-in, there was only one overwhelmed staff member helping over a dozen frustrated customers — many of whom, like us, had confirmed bookings but were being told there were no available rooms.
These issues reflect a failure to provide the level of comfort, cleanliness, and service expected from a Hilton-branded hotel — especially considering the premium price charged.
Sincerely,
Paris and...
Read moreWe booked a room and stayed for 4 nights. The room was clean and it was a nice size. The only issue is that housekeeping never flipped our room or remade our beds. We had to constantly go down stairs to request towels and toilet tissue. Which is inconvenient. No remedies or discounts were offered ant check out. And After complaining while still there no service was even received the next day. They really seemed to not care. Update: after checking my bank account I was also charged for a pet fee. And I didn’t have a pet. When initially contacting them about this I was yelled at by staff and told that there was no way anything had hit my account yet. Keep in mind, I was looking directly at the fee when talking. I called Hilton and they are the ones who notified me it was a pet fee on my account. But they couldn’t remove it. I Called back and spoke to SPARK management in the am and after some discussion and being told I must’ve had a pet🤨. They finally found out that the maid wrote down the wrong room number. I would not stay at this hotel EVER. Find...
