Seemed like a cool scene at first until I walked in. Then some dude was singing EVERY. SINGLE. WORD. to each song, I'm assuming, they played on the jukebox. It got annoying because it just wasn't good. Sorry. So after trying to break up the endless sing along, we played songs on the touch tunes(jukebox). After playing "in the navy" by the village people, the karaoke kings, who I was told by the barkeep were "locals", started questioning why I would play such a ridiculous song. Well, the reason why is, I'm a navy vet and it's great to poke fun at myself and any others who had the balls to volunteer to serve in Americas Navy by letting a group of dressed up homosexuals sing about, fictitiously, being "in the Navy". Well, after I questioned what the problem was the "locals" did nothing but run their mouth. I was mature enough to let it run its course and allow the non servers to run their mouth and dig their own grave. After a couple hours of having beers and spending money at the establishment, I had heard enough. I told the "local" worm: "at 2am you're done. I'll see you outside" he began to suddenly become very friendly and I refused to be a friend. After friendship was denied, I was then confronted by who I assume was someone in charge of the place. He was actually quite fair in his observation of what had happened all night and where it might go. He told me I could stay and enjoy my drinks and I agreed and did so at the other end of the bar from the "local" worm. Left the bar at midnight. No issue. Showed up the next night to watch the Gator game and was told by a bartender, whom I've never seen before, that I was not going to cause "any trouble" because she "heard what happened" the night before. I told her I had no issue, even though the non serving worm was at the end of the bar again. I ordered a beer and then was given my tab. Planned on staying most of the night and paying a couple hundred dollars like I had already done the night before. Went down the road to the "19th hole" and had a great time. Very welcoming to vets. After my wife called the Paddy Wagon to ask why we were tabbed out w/o request, she was told "if you come back, Polk county sheriffs will be waiting". Amazing. Be careful here if you are a vet or you plan on drinking and then possibly driving. Polk County Sheriff Department is apparently their "go to" if you question why non locals aren't welcomed. I am all for the "locals only" attitude. No tourist here. In Orlando for work. Maybe next St Paddy's day, they will have...
Read moreThis place was interesting to say the least. The service was great, the bartenders Chase and Christian I believe their names were stayed on top of drinks and even made up an "angel food cake" shot for my friend that she loved. I really enjoy that they have the little app jukebox thing so I can play music of my choosing. My only complaints would be, I do wish there was at least one more pool table. The crowd also gets a little weird. I know most bars do to say the least but I saw multiple fights break out here as well and I know thats not the bars fault of course, but if you're reading this and plan to go maybe dont fight the guy 3 seats down from you so others who are just trying to relax can enjoy their time too? I also had a guy INSIST on buying me a shot after I had already said I'm good, he proceeded to tell the bartender to bring a round of shots, he left to the bathroom and I left to my car with my friend, for some reason the bartender felt it necessary to follow me out to my car to ask me about the shots and if they were on my tab....I closed out already, I verbally said I'm good, and I'm leaving... why would they be on my tab? Strange. I told them, they arent and they are on the gentlemans inside and...
Read moreThis place is awesome. The bartenders treat everyone like family, and the crowd is very mixed. Bathrooms are clean; service is great. I highly recommend, if you just want to have a drink and relax in a pretty cool and kosher atmosphere. Very laid-back! I was an instant fan after my first visit. Some of the best bartenders I have ever encountered, as they are quite personable and friendly. I order my Coke. Sit and watch a game on their televisions. Get treated as good as anyone else, which is great! This place is my go-to for football season. Everybody is...
