This was 10-8-2016 the day after hurricane Matthew. We knew it would be a wait since a lot of people did not have power. We waited to get seated around 30 minutes. Renee sat us and did not ask for our drink order. My daughter said that another waitress, Fern, looked at us and rolled her eyes. We watched as Renee sat 3 more tables of who came in after us, took their drink orders, took their food orders and refused to look at us as she walked by. A couple across from us kept commenting as to why we were being ignored. I had no idea.My daughter's boyfriend tried to get Renee to stop and take our drink order and she said angrily, in a minute, without stopping. Finally, Renee angrily asked for our order. It had been almost an hour. I said we were ready to order. She said no. Just drinks. I don't know if she was unable to do more than two things at once. Why was it so hard to take drink and food orders? That would have been the most efficient thing to do, but not in angry Renee's world. That took another 10 minutes to get them and she walked away never coming back. I was ready to walk out but flagged Kristy down and she took our food order. Kristy was attentive and very good. The other people finished their food and left. The couple across from us said they wanted to see if we ever got our food and didn't want to leave. Our food arrived and the woman came over and clapped. I have idea what Renee's problem was. We had no interaction with her that would have caused such rude and idiotic behavior. All we wanted was breakfast since we had no electricity. She also stupidly missed out on a decent tip because of her idiocy. I am hoping that the Denny's across the street will straighten this place out. We stopped there first and only came across the street because the line at Denny's seemed too long. We should have stayed. We would have gotten our food quicker and not been treated like crap. I won't...
Read moreTwo years ago, I had a bad experience at this iHop, as the waiter was super rude at me and asked me to leave because I had overstayed my welcome. It turns out that I had told the prior waitress that I was there for breakfast, but that I was in the middle of work and needed to get some things done using the iHop WiFi. I even told her that I was possible going to have lunch. Well, I had both, breakfast and lunch and gave the same waiter a nice tip. But another waitress came to me and told me, in a very rude way, that this was not a WiFi cafe and that I needed to unoccupy the premises for other customers. The funny thing was that the place was never busy from 9 AM until 2 PM, so I didn’t know what she was talking about. Anyway, 2 years later, I decided to give this place another chance and I was fortunate to get Elizabeth. She was cordial and on top of her game. When I placed my order I saw a nice smile coming from her and I immediately felt at ease and welcomed. She made no mistakes on my order and brought everything that I needed. She even brought me a glass of water and reminded me that my meal came with unlimited pancakes. I then talked to LeAnn, her manager, and it was also a treat talking to her and letting her know how amazing was Elizabeth. That Elizabeth was a true reflection of her management style and that she should be proud. Needless to say, Elizabeth’s great attitude and customer service has returned my faith in good customer service in a time when good customer service has gone out...
Read moreOk so I usually love this location. I usually come in at least once a month late at night after work with my grandma. The service has always been excellent but not tonight... Some guy named Trenton waited on us, now hear me out I'm a server so I try not to judge other servers bc you never know when someones having a bad day, however this guy is not server material... First of all he didnt tell us to follow him to the table or anything we had to just assume we were suppose to follow. Next he kinda just looked at us expecting us to tell him our drinks. So then he clearly wasn't gonna ask us what we want to order so being a server myself I ordered both our meals without waiting for him to ask any questions bc clearly he didnt plan to ask anything. 🤷🏻 I asked another sever if maybe he was new but she said no he wasn't. I can't understand how someone who won't speak to their tables can be a server? Also when the food and even the drinks came out he wouldn't put them down... Like he didnt know how or something? So I passed out the plates and stuff like hes lucky they're not super hot plates bc in what restaurant are you suppose to have the customers take their own plates? Minus putting in the order I felt like I was at work... Just don't know how this guy is a server. Again we're somewhat regulars at this location and never had a problem before so I'm not gonna take away more than a star for this but next time I go back if hes our server we're leaving. Not a great...
