Last night, my friends and I stopped by around 2 AM. Online, it said the location was open until 4, and the doors were unlocked. Inside, two men were at the counter waiting to pick up online orders. A young lady approached and asked with a clear attitude, “Are you picking up?” I responded, “No ma’am, I wanted to place an order.” She then said, “No, we’re closed.” Confused, I pointed out, “Online says you’re open until 4, and the doors are unlocked.” She replied, “Well, my manager told me to tell people we’re closed.”
At this point, my friend, who had already placed an online order, stepped up and mentioned his order. The young lady told him they wouldn’t be making any more orders and that he should request a refund. When he asked why, since the app allowed the order, she responded, “Well, if you want it, you can wait an hour.” He was frustrated and said, “There’s no reason a taco should take an hour.” She then said, “We’re running out of things, and like I said, we’re closed.”
Trying to stay calm, he asked, “Can you tell me if you’re out of the items I ordered?” She said no and then proceeded to tell him that they weren’t honoring any orders and he should just ask for a refund. This made the situation even more confusing. One of the men at the counter then stepped in to say he was also picking up an order, but she just rolled her eyes and walked away without saying a word.
We were all left standing there, confused. The app still allowed orders, online said they were open, and the doors were unlocked. More customers came in, and the girl yelled, “We’re closed.” After a few minutes, she returned to the counter and said, “My manager is telling me in my headset that you can go to Wawa or McDonald’s, but we won’t be making your order and you need to request a refund.”
At this point, I politely asked to speak with the manager. I’m not usually one to escalate things, but we were so confused as to why we were being turned away when everything indicated they were open. The employee told me, “No, she’s busy.” I explained I just needed five minutes to clear up the situation. After waiting a couple of minutes, the manager arrived, clearly upset. I politely asked why we were being turned away when the app allowed my friend to place an order, but she didn’t offer any clarity. She just repeated, “We’re closed,” and told me to “call the store tomorrow to speak with the GM.” She then wrote the store number down on a piece of paper.
I asked for her name and title again stating I was extremely confused by the situation, to which she raised her voice, becoming more hostile. I told her I had been polite and asked her not to speak to me in that manner. She responded, “It’s not my problem. No one wanted to work tonight. I’m pregnant and shouldn’t even be here,” and slammed the phone number down on the counter.
I’m not someone who usually complains, and I’ve never left a review before. But the hostility and poor customer service we experienced last night was completely uncalled for. My friend lives about five minutes away from this Taco Bell and frequently makes late-night visits because it’s the only fast food place open late. We’re not sure why last night was so different. After the encounter, we ended up going to McDonald’s, where the staff was incredibly kind. My friend also had to spend about 15 minutes on the phone with his bank to get a refund.
I tried calling the store today to speak with the GM because I don’t believe anyone should be treated like we were. I was connected with the manager on shift, who explained that the GM had stepped out. I explained the situation, and she was very apologetic. She confirmed that the store was NOT closed and she wasn’t sure why we were told otherwise. She took my information and assured me the GM would call me back, but I have yet to receive that call. All I wanted was a quesadilla and a Baja Blast but instead I had an...
Read moreThis Taco Bell does not even deserve a star. The worst place I have ever been to in Orlando ever.
I go back in to get the correct food and the manager throws my bag in the trash and tells the person in the kitchen to make a new one. Then the manager comes back and takes the bag out of the trash and takes my hard taco out of the bag and puts it in the new bag after it has already been in the trash. This is the worse Taco Bell ever
At the box I was deciding what I wanted. Told the associate Janelys C. To hold on a moment as I decided what to order. Seconds later the "manager Richardo" came on the speaker asking what I wanted. I again stated tI go back in to get the correct food and the manager throws my bag in the trash and tells the person in the kitchen to make a new one. Then the manager comes back and takes the bag out of the trash and takes my hard taco out of the bag and puts it in the new bag after it has already been in the trash. This is the worse Taco Bell evero wait a moment as I decided. I came to the window and asked why someone else came on the speaker to ask what I wanted right after I said to please wait a moment. The associate Janelys C. Said that was her manager and that he wanted us to move bc there were other cars. I told her regardless I am a paying customer and I can have a moment to decide. She became very rude yelling at me saying that the other customers need to place their orders too bc they are on a timer. Well to be frank I don't eat Taco Bell everyday so in that case I should be allowed more then a few seconds to decide what I want to eat. I then asked for the manager to come to the window. She got even more upset and yelled to the back that I wanted to talk to him about the way I am being treated with poor customer service. The manager comes to the window and immediately raises his voice before I can say anything that he needed me to move bc the timer was going and there were other customers. I asked him his name and he says Rich. When the other associate told me Richardo. I asked for his higher manager and he said his name was joe. But did not know when joe was going to be in again. I find it funny that as a "store manger" that you claim to be u don't know when your boss will be back in. I asked for corporate phone number he denied that to me I had to find it I line. I have reported him to corporate along with the associate.
I ordered the 2 chicken chalupa meal with baja blast. What I got was a mtn. Dew 2 beef chalupas. I believe they did this on purpose.

I know I am 1 in a million to come through a Taco Bell with a bad experience and the company will not care bc they are still making their dollar. But there should pick their staff and management a little more carefully. This is the worst customer service I have ever seen. Nothing will be done about it we all know that.
I would advise anyone to stay away from...
Read moreFirst I want to say is that I go to Taco Bell quite often and though I may not have always had the greatest of service, I have never had an experience like this one. This is a long review, btw.
First time at this location, since I don’t live here in Orlando. Tried to put in a delivery order but the mobile app said it didn’t deliver to my hotel. Ok, no problem. Put in order through the mobile app around 10:45pm on 3/17. Chose in-store option in the app for pickup. Get a confirmation email saying order would be done at 10:54pm. Go to pick up food in-store. Husband was told that the dining room is closed and we would have to go through the drive thru. Ok, no problem. Get in the line and wait ~45 mins. Get to the speaker only to be told there is no order. Provided name and order number. Had email with order showing it was paid for already. Was told they didn’t have it, so I could cancel the order and reorder. Had already paid $29 for a big order and didn’t want to spend that again. Advised person at speaker that the app wasn’t allowing me to cancel the order. Was told to call 1800TacoBell to cancel order and they couldn’t help otherwise unless I placed order again. Ok.
Go next door and get food ordered at Wawa. While waiting, get a message that my order is ready at Taco Bell. What? How is my order ready if they didn’t receive it? So call them up, since I’m next door and ask to speak to manager. Guy that answers phone identifies himself as the manager. Explain that I just got a message that my order is done. He says “Well it wasn’t here when you came through, so what do you want me to do”. Um, check to see if it’s come through because I am right next door and I’ve already paid for it. Comes back saying it’s not there and he can’t help me unless I come back through again, place another order, and cancel the one online. I said “like I told your employee before, I’ve already paid for the first order and the app is not letting me cancel it.” He says “well other people don’t have a problem cancelling their order in the app”. I say “that’s not true; the guy that was in the restaurant when we came in earlier told you all he couldn’t cancel his either, so obviously it’s not possible for everyone.” He then tells me to call 1800TacoBell because even though it’s their app, it’s ran by a third party. I said I will and that I will make sure I let corporate know about my experience. He says “Go ahead, we’re a franchise anyway” and hangs up on me while I am asking for the owner’s information. I call back and no one will pick up the phone.
I do not recommend this location, as I have now went back and read other reviews (on Yelp and Google) where they have done other people this way also, with some of the scenarios...
