This is one of those cases where its obvious the GM doesn't pay attention to the store. This store has been closing early for months now. Recently my gf arrived more than 30 minutes before close to get dinner for us, and there were several cars in the drive through. She ordered two meals and a extra large fry, when she got her food there was no large fry. The more horrifying part was that all the chicken strips were not strips at all. The workers decided to gather all the scrap bits in the bottom of the tote and try to pass it off. As someone that managed several restaurants over my life, and has a friend that is a GM of Zaxbys in SC I know this is unacceptable behavior in the eye of the Franchise. This chicken could have resulted in serious food poisoning or other issues, and I told my girlfriend its unsafe to ingest. To top it all off as she goes through the drive through again because they messed up the order they shut off their fryers. So they begged her to take a refund instead. Another thing this store does is refuse to take more than one order at a time. The owner is losing out on thousands of dollars a week because people like me will pass by if we see 3+ cars waiting. This is one of the various obvious tells the GM is not paying any attention to his store. I use to frequent Zaxbys at least 3 times a week but the poor service and inability to take more than one order at a time has started to turn me away. That night sadly we had to go back out for dinner because s small amount of fries and a piece of toast does not make a dinner. The worst part is it wasn't just a waste of $20 because we had to go buy dinner again basically closer to $40 loss. To top it all off as well we weren't given any receipt which is a common occurrence, but we did get a receipt for the fry refund. Another classic example of complacently in management, and no goals driven by senior leadership. If your fine losing out on money every day as an Owner that's your choice and feel free to continue as you have been for the...
Read moreI've never had a bad experience here before but tonight I placed an order on the app at 8:01 and the estimated time it would be ready was 8:15. I ordered two milkshakes and two grilled Cobb salads. I went through the drive-through at 8:14 PM. When I got to the window I was handed my milkshakes and was told to pull up to the curb. After about seven minutes and several cars going through the drive-through and getting their food, I went inside the restaurant to ask if someone had forgotten about me. The girl behind the counter was clueless and said they didn't know I was still waiting. No one knew what they were doing. I finally got my two salads at 8:26 PM. No one apologized nor tried to do anything to make this right. Absolutely appalled at the service I received. Not to mention the fact that the milkshakes sat in my car for 15 minutes, waiting for the salads. They should've at least offered to make fresh milkshakes. Very dissatisfied with the service I received with...
Read moreNever post reviews but had to for this one. Went earlier today with my girlfriend to have lunch, we sat down at the two chairs up front and said we needed a second to look through the menu. While we’re still seated and talking to see what we want, the woman at the front kept interrupting us when we’re trying to look at the menu; asking what our names were, whether we’d be dining in, and if we were together or separate. No problem, probably wanted to get ahead of the game but we felt super rushed. We ended up dining in, and her order ended up taking a pretty long time. It got the the point that there were multiple orders made for people that ordered after us, so she went up and checked to make sure her order was still coming out. The woman who rang in the order didn’t know where it was, and neither did one of the drive thru operator as well as a chef. A few minutes after that, she was told her dine-in order was given to a customer in drive thru (??). Once her order finally came, she forgot to order a sauce she usually gets so I went up there to ask for one and the woman up front didn’t know if they had it, and she asked the girl who running the drive thru (presumedly the one who mistakenly gave the original order away), and she looked at me with disdain and told the woman up front it’d be an extra charge. Usually I wouldn’t have a problem paying the extra 50 cents or whatever it is, but that interaction and the whole situation leading up to it was an abysmal experience. By the end of it my food was cold waiting for hers to come out, and the rudeness from the staff added insult to injury as me and my girlfriend were nothing but cordial. Didn’t mean to write a novel but the experience blew. Used to come here often and had good experiences most of the...
