Schlotzsky's — Restaurant in Flower Mound

Hi Yall, Well its lunch time again. What should I have? How about a sandwich. Let's head over to slot O Teez sky's, you know! The awesome sandwich place with the funny name! Ok, I can trump you one better. My local Schlotzsky's, (I had to look at the spelling) is also a Cinnabon! Score! Grandma Fowler always said ,"eat dessert first. That way if something happens and you can't finish your meal, you've had the best part already. So, order you some cinnamon rolls when you get your lunch. Schlotzsky's has unique sandwiches. Too many options to list here but, OMG scrumptious doesn't begin to describe them. The breads are amazing and the fixens are yummy! The cheeses are melted and hold it all together. Writing this review is making my mouth water. Add a side of kettle chips or soup and make it a meal or if your watching you calories get a salad. Pizza and kids meals are also available, although honestly I haven't tried the last two or the salad. I love my sandwich and chips! A little bit about the restaurant. Its very clean and the tables are spaced out to socially acceptable distances. The drinks are your usual fair of fountain drinks and teas. Not really to my liking if I'm being honest but, popular brands. I have always had a good meal and a pleasant experience every time I have come in. Yall should go! Prices are comprable to other sandwich restaurants near by. Give'em a try, I think you like it. Well yall, enjoy! TTYL P.S. Well.....I am not that black person that would ever play the race card BECAUSE I am a black man, happily married for 37 years to my beautiful white wife but today's visit to Schlotzsky's # 862 in Flower Mound, really felt that way. The young man that took my order was very nice and customer service oriented when he took my order. As I waited, I noticed how welcoming and nice the other young man and young lady working in the front, were being with 4 other customers that came in and left, as I waited for my order to be completed. I noticed that these customers were greeted and as they left, were told thank you and have a good day. My order was finally completed, placed on the counter, and the buzzer I was holding was activated. As I walked up to the counter to get my order, neither of the 2 workers said a word to me. The person that placed my order on the counter had walked away. Both of the previously mentioned workers, that had given the other customers such good service, were standing there and never said a word to me. I stood there for at least 30 seconds, thinking that they would at least greet me and give me my order but I received nothing. I am a hard-working, black man and since we have lived in the Corinth area, that was only the 2nd time that I have ever felt that the color of my skin mattered. My wife and I have been to this location several times but as of today, we will be going the further distance to the Lewisville location. I can say that our order was correct and very tasty as usual. We ordered 3 sandwiches here tonight 10/1. We all three ordered the same sandwich. I ordered mine with no lettuce or tomatoes. My wife ordered hers the way it came. My son ordered the next size up with no lettuce or tomatoes but add mustard. My sandwich came out with lettuce but no tomatoes. My sons sandwich came out the wrong size but without mayo or mustard. My wife's came out not even anything similar. The guy behind the counter tried to blame us for taking the wrong order rather then admit his mistakes. No one else complained that there order was wrong and there were not that many patrons in here so if we got someone else order we would of known. The fact that it was half right tells me I got the order but they made it wrong. I double checked the receipt and the girl who took the order had EXACTLY what we ordered down, so it falls back on the cook. He seemed put out and bothered that we asked for our food to be fixed. My sandwich that was "fixed" was cold and had several pieces of lettuce on it as if he just took it to the back and scrapped the lettuce off. Not very often we come here and this just makes it that much longer before we will patronize there...
