Pinky's on the Beach — Restaurant in Folly Beach

My friends and I visited folly beach for a bachelorette party and decided to try out pinky’s since it was right on the water and had live music. Immediately we noticed for a Saturday night the place was almost completely empty with the exception of a few outdoor tables including our own.

3/5 meals ordered at our table came out incorrectly. Our waitress at first was happy to fix the mistakes (salads came out with salmon instead of chicken & incorrect side order) - obviously we had to wait for the correct food to be brought out which took some time, during which we just ate the salads without the added protein. No one ate the salmon, we even offered for her to take it back to correct the dish to which she replied no keep it. to our surprise when we received the bill we were charged for the incorrect food that we did not want nor order. While only a few dollars more, (salmon $2 more on their menu than chicken), after receiving incorrect food and waiting for the correct meals to come out, we were already antsy to continue on with our evening. We asked the waitress to please correct the bill and apply the food we did order to which she refused. We decided to just pay so we can get on with the night as now we were just annoyed.

After our card was already charged the manager addressed our table ACTING apologetically offering to comp the salads in the end. We gratefully waited for him to do so, which he then never returned. When addressed a final time, he accused us of eating the incorrect food and suddenly no mention of comping the salads like HE offered- we never asked for this, he offered it…..

Overall incredibly rude staff that totally ruined our evening with their nonsense and awful customer service

When YOU make a mistake, YOU make it right!!! We just wanted to pay for what we ordered which escalated for absolutely no reason. In the end we payed extra for food we didn’t want and didn’t order, wasted half the night waiting for customer service that never happened.

Do not come here. Other tables mentioned “surprise” fees on their bills, incorrect food brought out, endless mistakes. Don’t bother, it’s empty for a reason and clearly desperate for business if $4 is make or break to their...

If I could leave zero stars for service I would! My friends and I were very disappointed, the ambiance is such a vibe and the food was good, but the service left MUCH to be desired. We were a party of five, late Saturday night, the place was not busy. 3/5 of our orders were messed up. Mine came out with the wrong side and 2 people who ordered chicken salads came out with salmon. We informed the waitress and she told us she would fix that for us. She left the incorrect plates at the table, brought out my correct side then about 10-15 minutes later brought out 2 plates with just pieces of grilled chicken on it, when my friends asked what to do with salmon they said "just keep it". When we ask for the bill we see that we have been charged the salmon price for the two salads, which is 2$ more a plate. When confronted the waitress she said she put salmon because it's the same price as chicken, but after double checking the menu it was not. There were also some surprise fees on the bill that had no explanation. We paid the bill because we wanted to leave but then a man we assumed was a manager approached us and asked how we were. We explained the situation and he said he felt horrible and would comp the salads on our bill. Then he quickly changed the subject, and asked where we were from and where we were going out tonight. After saying, that he went inside the restaurant where it appears he avoided us for about 10-20 more minutes, clearly he had no intention of providing good customer service and tried to smooth talk us instead. After a few minutes, we went inside and confronted the man asking what was going to happen with the bill and he said "well you already paid and my waitress said you ate the salmon" which no one did. We explained that typically when a decent establishment makes a mistake they own up to it and try to make things right, the man was very argumentative at this point and we were over the situation, we left $0 in tip, something none of us have ever done, signed the receipt and left. We were flabbergasted that we were lied to TWICE in one evening over $4. So yeah, at pinky's apparently the customer is...

I was so excited to try Pinky's on the Beach and loved the overall vibe! The atmosphere is super fun and totally on-theme, from the pink car tables, games, and a pink pool table. We grabbed drinks at the bar while waiting for an outdoor table, and the 'Let's Flamingle' drink was delicious and perfectly on par with the theme throughout the restaurant.

Once we were seated outside, the service our table received unfortunately fell short. Our server brought water to us quickly, but then we didn't have their attention again for over 45 minutes, even as we tried to wave them down. They seemed overwhelmed and as though they were juggling too many tables at once. Service was lacking in other elements, such as asking multiple times for napkins (the wings were quite messy), and it took an additional minute or two until we could finally flag another employee down. It makes sense that, being a new restaurant, they were still getting the swing of things. We were very understanding and appreciative when we were helped.

Once we finally ordered, we tried out the Fried Chicken Wings, Coconut Shrimp, and Chips & Trio of Dips appetizers. The queso on the Chips & Trio of Dip was delicious, but our chips were very stale and disappointing. The Coconut Shrimp and Fried Chicken Wings were great and fairly priced.

This spot has so much potential, and I am definitely rooting for them! Once they are more settled, I plan on giving them another try a few...
