I normally enjoy Schlotzsky’s, but today’s experience left me extremely disappointed — especially given that I’m pregnant and had a limited window to grab something to eat before an appointment.
I ordered a Turkey Avocado sandwich with added cheddar cheese, no tomato (I have a tomato allergy), and honey mustard. When I got to the window and checked the receipt, there was no honey mustard listed. I asked the staff if it was included — the young woman with red hair was very kind and said no, then offered to remake the sandwich. That was appreciated.
However, the next sandwich came back with tomato, which I clearly asked to be left off for medical reasons. They remade it again — but this time left off the cheddar cheese I had paid extra for. At that point, I had already waited over 10 minutes and didn’t have time for another redo. I was also told I’d need to pay an extra $1+ just to get the honey mustard I originally requested — despite the fact that it was their oversight.
This experience involved multiple mistakes, missing paid items, and allergy safety concerns. I truly expected better attention to detail, especially from management. The front staff was polite, but the process was frustrating, and I left without the sandwich I paid for — and without a resolution.
I hope someone from management or corporate will reach out to make this right. I’m more than happy to provide the store location and exact time of...
Read moreWe went to this location in Forest Hill as we noticed hardly anyone was there. As soon as we walked in I noticed 2 couples eating but all the tables were dirty. They had a problem taking the order as the girl couldn't figure out what was wrong with the machine. Others came to help her and finally rung us up. I had to clean a table for my girlfriend and I to sit. There was hardly anyone coming in and yet the tables were never cleaned, one of the tables actually had left over plates with food on them. When we were done and I went to throw my trash away someone had taken the trash can out of the storage it's in and left it out with no trash bag in it. The girls that were behind the register were actually sitting at a table next to the trash can but were on their phones instead of cleaning the dining area and perhaps putting a bag in the trash can. I had to leave my trash on a table piled up neatly so maybe they can throw it away later. The food was excellent and the only person doing his job and super polite was a younger guy actually fixing the food. If it wasn't for him then this place would never be on my list of where to stop and eat. Management really needs to look into this as it might be shut down for good next time.......I remember it closed for a while and came back as an Austin Eatery location. I'll try them again soon and I'll see if changes...
Read moreOur sandwiches didn't have the bacon like we asked on them, but I noticed we weren't charged for it. The veggie Supreme wasn't cooked all the way through. I'm guessing bc of the amount of toppings in it, it needed to be pushed back a little more to come a little longer. The bacon on my turkey bacon club was not crispy like I asked.
Are you wondering why I gave them 5 stars? It was a lot of young people working. They got twisted up in orders at one point, and almost missed a guy by giving him the wrong food. The pizzas I originally wanted, was the Supreme and the meat lovers but they didn't have the toppings for that. So I went with what they did have.
Never once did any of these young people have attitudes. They tried really hard to accommodate me bc both pizzas I ordered were not available. They were very nice, calm, and they worked together. At least that's what you seen from my side of the counter.
The store was clean. Which is also a big deal to me. So I feel like things happen, and sometimes it's out of our control. We are human, and we will make mistakes. With all of that being said, this location still deserved a 5 star in my opinion. I hope they see this, and they know their hard work doesn't go unnoticed. Great job ladies and gentlemen! Went to the store on 6/29/2022...
