Got some problems with this location, enough problems that I will no longer support this location at all!
First, they do not keep their protein up to temperature. They are all room temperature to ice cold when they serve their protein. That is a big no no and is a health hazard.
Second, they will serve their old crusty rice instead of throwing away that old rice, they will wait until all of that old rice is gone until they pour fresh rice into their container to serve. When you ask for fresh rice they Will mix in the old rice with the fresh rice. Absolutely disgusting.
Third, they will shake every spoon full of protein they scoop. Why not get a proper spoon so yall don't have to shake every scoop yall pick up? This makes you guys look like chipotle!
Fourth, they will overcharge you for bowls you get. Got a bowl of honey chicken, they swore up and down it was with avocado when it definitely 100% was not with avocado. The store wasn't even busy and the girl who made my bowl gave the girl at the counter the wrong name and thats why she rang up the wrong amount. They both were insisting the amount was correct. When it clearly was not. When she realized i was not budging from the price i knew it was suppose to be she just gave me the bowl for free because i was about to make a scene and walk out. I know my prices better then the employees do. I don't know if they were trying to hustle me thinking I wouldn't know. But yeah, not cool.
This happened the afternoon of July fourth. The only two females working up front older white lady and skinnier tall Hispanic looking lady. These two should be fired immediately! I spend over 100 bucks a week eating here and I will no longer come to...
Read moreStill love CAVA, but this location needs to rethink portions
I visited the CAVA in Forney today and while I’ve always appreciated the fresh ingredients and unique flavors, I left feeling disappointed and honestly a little surprised by how minimal the portions were—especially given the price.
I ordered two bowls, drinks, and some pita bread. The total came to just about $50, and each bowl was around $22. What caught me off guard was how little food actually ended up in the bowls. Even while watching them assemble it, I noticed the ingredients being scooped with what felt like extreme caution—almost like they were trying to stretch out leftovers. The rice portion, for example, barely covered the bottom of the bowl. By the time I got home and opened the bag, it really looked like a leftover bowl I’d packed up after already eating half.
What makes it more frustrating is that the chicken I ordered (their new flavor) was really good—so it’s not an issue of quality. And I understand that CAVA uses high-quality ingredients, which I appreciate. But the value just didn’t match the cost or the expectations based on their advertising photos.
I also noticed a big ad at the front of the store showcasing full, hearty bowls—mine didn’t come close to looking like that, and it left me questioning whether I’ll return to this particular location. I’ve had better, more balanced experiences at other CAVA spots around Dallas where the bowls actually feel worth the price.
I hope this feedback helps improve consistency at this location. I’d love to keep supporting CAVA, but right now, I’d hesitate before...
Read moreUpdate: Place is still run like a chaotic mess. Moving from 2 stars to 1.
There is a total failure of leadership at this location.
The atmosphere, and service is a single word, CHAOTIC. I had never been to a place like this, so I ordered from the menu. Once I did that, I was asked what I wanted on the pita. Confused I said back exactly how the menu has it. The employee at this point seemed confused and attempted to make it from the menu.
The chaos continued when they didn't have chicken, said more was coming but had to wait 10 minutes. So now I have a pita with hummus spread all over it sitting on the side.
Chicken arrives, they continue.. then I was informed they didn't have enough to make my wife's. So we had to substitute that.
Once both pitas were made, they sat open on the line for another 5 minutes while what seemed like other pick up or to go orders was being done. The employees seemed so chaotic with a lot of lack in leadership and organization. While waiting I looked around, and seen all the food behind the counter on the floor. I took a few pictures, but to avoid making this the CAVA I saw today I'm not going to post them publicly on their business. The food on the floor was a mirror image I saw in the employees, chaos with no leadership.
The employees need training, if a manager was there then this is unspeakably bad.
CAVA on my first experience was a total let down, and it was almost laughable how bad it was run. I have sympathy for all the young employees who seem to want to help and are very polite but have no leader or organization...
