The food here is almost always great and location is convenient but had an issue the other night that they refuse to take care of that I think will have us on a Chili's strike for a while.
So my wife and I ordered with door dash because we had a promo with door dash we wanted to use it and in the chili's app it didn't seem like they did delivery it appeared it was just to go, that I later found out you can do delivery with their app as well. Odd that you have both options but either way we wanted to use our door dash promo.
Door dash was giving us an issue adding our chili's account to get the free chips and salsa for some reason so after placing the order I called chili's and the manager was able to take care of us so we appreciated that.
But then our order arrives and the bag was neatly packed and tied for our safety. They did a great job there but we were missing an item. I tried to get door dash to take care of it but they said it wasn't a door dash issue.
I called back to the restaurant and got the manager again and explained what we were missing and he said the only thing he could do was send us some gift cards. I really wanted the food we ordered but he didn't have a way to do that and he couldn't refund anything because we placed order on door dash which I understand. I also asked him if door dash would be better at handling this issue to which he replied no they cant. But also the store credit wasn't going to make it to my email for two days. So it kind of sucked but it is what it is. He said I could drive there and he would take care of me but we didn't have a vehicle at the time hence the delivery.
I waited the two days and got nothing in my email. I stopped into the restaurant today and spoke to a different manager who said she will take care of me and get me the "gift cards" and it would be about 2 days again and she got all my info so we could be on the same page. She called me like 10 mins later and said she talked with that manager and that they can not do anything because we ordered with door dash.
So here we are now where chili's chooses to use door dash as their delivery service and I order food that they pack and and they forget to put something in it and door dash just delivers it but they say it's not their fault and door dash says it's not their fault and I get screwed paying for food I didn't get.
Just ridiculous. Not to mention you promise me something and I'm waiting on it and you never follow up with me to tell me you changed your mind??!!
Like c'mon take care of your customer. Your going to give me a small credit because you messed up and you know I'm going to use that small credit and spend more when I come back but instead you choose to just piss me off instead. Ok LOL

Read moreThursday night and not packed - Walked in to order take out w/ approx 25 min wait time. Sat at the bar while it was being made. Advised takeout while ordering that I would be at the bar. Was told that I would get a txt when it was ready. I did get a txt thanking me for my order (confirming the ph number was correct).
As I sat at the bar, I started a timer to know when to check on my order. At about the 22 min mark I asked if it was ready. It was not. At this point I was relaying on my "its ready" txt.
20 minutes later (total of 40+ min) I was asked what I ordered. I was then informed that it was ready at the to go desk. The explanation was they entered Jones instead of James on my ticket. So my food had been sitting ready for 20 min AND I did NOT receive a "food is ready" txt. But I sure did get a "Thank you for your Chili's order" txt. Of course, they have my money now!
I asked for the manager - I explained to him he has a severe training issue; Name on the order was wrong Order was incomplete (no avocado) No "order is ready" txt even though they confirmed the right ph number. A incomplete order sat for an additional 20 min when the customer was 15 feet away and allowed to get cold.
He offered nothing other than an apology. I told him I appreciate that, but all I want is what I paid for. ( As a rule - I refuse any comps because that is not the point. I want nothing free)
I have two major pet peeves across the board with any establishment- I only want what I pay for! I don't want cold food!
That is a pretty low bar, and they hit the mark on both points.
Before you think me petty; I've worked in the food business and have been around it all my life so I know it's difficult.
As I left the bar I explained to the bartender; "don't take this personal, but this is why I won't leave tips till after the fact. All I want is what I pay for." What sense is it to tip if the order is incomplete. You basically pay them to get it wrong. Everyone in this chain has a level of responsibility; the cook, the expediter, the wait person (last line of defense).
For this place keep in mind that it will be cold. That is the most used word in all of the reviews left here. Make sure you have a...
Read moreWe had a curbside, call in order that was suppose To be ready at 7:07 P.M. on July 19th. I pulled up in my truck at exactly 7:07. After waiting 15 minutes and watching 5 different people walk in and out with their food, I decided to go in and get our order. I walked in with no one in line at this point and our food was sitting behind the girl behind the counter. I told her “I’d been waiting out there for 15 minutes so I figured I’d better come in and get it.” I was on call that evening with my job and needed to get it to my family. I realize that we do not pay for curbside, but it was still irritating. I walked out with my food and realized that we did not get the chips and salsa that we had ordered. I walked back in, showed the receipt, and got my C&S. Still no apologies. When I got the food home after cutting into the steaks that my wife and I had ordered, we realized that the medium steaks that we had ordered were cooked rare. Not medium. Yes, I know the difference. It was so rare that it was harder to cut through the fibers of the meat because they had not broken down in the cooking process. I have pictures to prove it. Again, I know meat. I process all of my own wild game as an avid outdoorsman. After putting the two steaks on a pan and cooking them myself to MEDIUM, my family was finally able to eat our $45.00 meal. Honestly, I don’t care about the curbside issue, it’s the mountain of other things that I have issues with. I wouldn’t have made this review if it had not been for other issues that we’ve had in the past with to go orders from this location. All of that being said, every time that we have eatin inside the Chili’s Restaurant in Forney we have always had a good experience, and have even pointed out to managers when waiters/waitresses were...
