Visit date July 25 2025. Arrival time 4:50pm
I left a 5 star review of this place 8 years ago. After the experience I just had, it motivated me to delete that review and make a new one.
First I'll start by saying the quality of service here continues to degrade month after month. So much that I'm pretty sure this was my last visit (and I've been at least 30 times)
Today we walked in and stood at the hostess booth for 5 minutes waiting to be seated.. no one greeted us or even looked in our general direction... so we grabbed our own menus and seated ourselved. Then we were blatently ignored by the one server they had. He left a few minutes after another server arrived (We were there for over 15 minutes at this point). It wasn't hard to figure out that he wouldn't wait on us because it was the end of his shift and he wouldn't get the tip...
His replacement was actually worse if that's even possible. We ordered apetizers and then our meals. We finished our apetizers and then the server comes by to take our orders a 2nd time because she actually forgot that she took the orders already. And in fact she forgot to turn in our meal orders to the cook. Seriously!! there was 3 occupied tables in the whole place and she can't keep up with that?! She lied to our faces saying the orders were turned in and the food would be right out. We waiting another 10 minutes and still no food... I cancelled the orders and paid for the appetizers and the waitress says "Let me go notify the chef so he knows not to cook it" clearly she didn't turn in the orders until 20+ minutes after we placed them.
I'm done with this place. 100% done!
0/10 do...
Read moreMom and I share a home together so we rarely eat out. She wanted to take me out for lunch. I chose Napoli's in Forney for this Father's Day gift. First time in their new location since moving from downtown Forney. It was clean and the waitress was ever attending! The bread was just as I remembered. The Salad and House dressing was wonderful. I had to laugh because to my surprise the two meals that we ordered were burned. Now Veal isn't something you can just throw out. So it was brought to our table to our delight. It was just like eating at home. At ninety Mom is known to burn a meal or two. I confess I too get busy and burn them. But Napoli's meal was a big surprise. I burst into laughter when it was placed before us. The waitress with her blond hair tied into buns that resemble their bread, was shocked at my laughter. I think she was a little embarrassed with the burned meals. But being a cook myself and having worked as a cook and managing a restaurant or two. I know things like this happen. And you don't make money by throwing away food. Unless its just way beyond serving. This meal was on the border! You just wait to see if the customer complains and if they do, then you start over. It wasn't a bad meal, not as great as I had hoped considering we hardly eat out. But I enjoy things that make me laugh. Plus the baptism with tea at the next table added even more entertainment. It looked like a pitcher of tea had been turned over. It was everywhere! First time I ever saw the contains on the table swept to the floor and not into a tray or plastic container. I wanted to check my pants leg but figured its holy water...
Read moreI'm not one to go out of my way to leave review first off. Second this place seemed and looked like a nice establishment. However when you walk in the door and no one greets you for 15min that's ridiculous. We finally got seen and seated as well as the people behind us about 5min later at a table right next to us. So another 10min or so go by and no one comes to wait on us. The table that got seated after us finally had someone come by and get there drinks. However I had to ask the person who got them there drinks to get ours he replied I'm not a waiter and walked off to finally come back with drinks. It was probably 20mins from when we sat down till we got our waiter. Bread was really good but hey if you screw that up I mean come on really. I ordered the lobster ravioli and my wife ordered the pasta combo. Lobster ravioli was a joke it had no lobster, gross fake crab meat scattered over the plate sauce and ravioli were no good ether. So my wife offered to trade me dishes but said hers wasn't very good ether so I tried hers to and it wasn't good. So at this point I have had enough time to pay the check and leave. So I paid the check and left a big fat 0 for the tip which I never do usually. The waiter had the nerve to chase me out the door when I was leaving to ask me did you not have good service I said NO it was awful he says ok see you next I said there won't be a next time. Now that home I'm sick to stomach and have been stuck to the crapper and have horrible indigestion. This place sucks all around. If you want good Italian food go to Luigi's in Rockwall amazing food great service and I have...
