Outback Steakhouse — Restaurant in Forney

I’ve been going to outback my entire life. My pacifier was literally dipped in blooming sauce as an infant. I loved outback. I had a terrible experience in Waco TX (twice) where they sent credit to use towards a new visit. We chose to visit this outback. From the get go it was off. We asked for a booth, the server begrudgingly said “well I can clean one for you if you want” not a kind offer, not a hostess offer but “if you want”. She walked us to three tables of half booths. “Where’ve you want to sit” the table that shares a bench leaving about a foot or two from the next persons thigh. Funny though that the table we picked faced an entire outer wall full of 4 people booths only occupied by 1 person dining. But it was too much of an inconvenience to wipe a booth for us to sit at. The table was so small I couldn’t even fit a menu on it. The cook came from the kitchen with dry crumbly bread and placed it where my arm was resting on the very edge of the table. My drink was at my left. I had absolutely no room. The bread was terrible. The mashed potatoes were sour, literally sour- not sure if they were made with sour products but they were for real sour. The broccoli was crunchy and wet and half rotten. The salad was full of wilted pieces and drenched in ranch, I couldn’t even eat it. I also got the browned butt end of the lettuce head in my salad. I was so annoyed I didn’t even eat my burger that lacked blooming sauce- it looked like they touched the sauce bottle to the bread and then removed it. The raspberry sauce on the cheesecake was good. The blooming petals and Aussie fries were good. The waiter was kind. The bathroom had clogged toilets and an employee who sat there flushing it three times just to leave it for the next person. I’m so sad about how sucky...

I recently dined at Outback Steakhouse and, unfortunately, had an extremely disappointing experience due to poor service and unfulfilled promises. From the moment we walked in, it felt like the management team wasn’t interested in providing a quality dining experience.

First, our food was not prepared correctly. I ordered a steak cooked medium rare, but it came out well-done, dry, and lacking the flavor you’d expect from a steakhouse. I politely asked our server if it could be corrected, and while they did their best, there was no support from the management team to expedite the issue. By the time the replacement arrived, it was still not cooked properly, which was both frustrating and disappointing.

The most upsetting part, however, was the unfulfilled veterans discount they advertise. After seeing the promotion, I asked about it when our check arrived. Shockingly, the management informed us they would not honor it, without any real explanation or apology. This left us feeling misled and undervalued, especially since it was something they actively advertised.

Overall, I left Outback Steakhouse feeling frustrated and disappointed. With poorly prepared food, inattentive management, and unkept promises, it’s hard to recommend this location to anyone looking for a satisfying...

This was our first time visiting this location as it is brand new in Forney, TX. All I can say is whatever you all are doing.... keep doing it! Nathaniel was a great server and very very attentive and maybe a little too attentive since we sure did eat way too much bread way too fast :D. Sincerely though 5 star service! Regarding the kitchen specifically my steak did come out undercooked but they redid until they got it right. I should add that I know it can be difficult when it comes to medium rare at any steak restaurant so it is not just this location/outback. I am just thankful they were so willing to redo it right. Once it was redone it was truly delicious! Honestly the best steak my husband and I have ever had at an Outback. All the food was hot and fresh and everything seemed to have that right attention to detail. Please "keep that same energy" as they say and you will continue to be highly successful in this location. I have been to many outback locations this one surpasses them all. Thank you for a wonderful meal. To whomever designed the location it looks great minus one detail if you're in a booth you cant see the beautiful sunset outside those gorgeous windows.
