This is based off of two separate experiences - my wife and I visited Palio's on two separate occasions, once at lunch and another day at dinner. The first visit, we both had the lunch special - which, offering a kid's pizza (or other options) as well as a salad and beverage for nine bucks, is quite the deal. The girl at the front counter seemed to NOT want to be there at all - but the rest of the crew seemed happy enough to make up for it. The entire meal was filling - and the pizza itself was very good. Crust was flavorful, thin but not crackery, and the tomato sauce was incredibly pleasant. My only complaint was a general lack of toppings - but for nine bucks, you can only complain so much. This visit was four stars. Our second visit - my wife had the baked macaroni, pictured below, and I had a small version of the same pizza I had prior. The toppings issue was fixed - but this time the issue I had was a lack of sauce. Some slices were well ratioed while others seemed to barely have any. The baked mac was tasty - though after a while the saltiness seemed to become overwhelming. This visit was three stars. The tiramisu, which we also had, was serviceable, but a little soggy. Overall - the main issue seems to be consistency. But everything is so delicious and the core parts of the pizza are so well done that my wife and I look forward to going again and again. The wait times are pretty reasonable, only about ten to fifteen minutes even during a pretty busy dinner, and the entire restaurant is clean and well-maintained. This place is great to have in Forney and a welcome diversion from burgers and Chinese - and especially as a lunch option. It's four stars simply due to the small inconsistencies - but it's a great spot and a delicious pizza and I'm sure it'll get even better in following visits.

This was me and my husband's first experience here. The decor was very nice and modern. The environment and restroom was clean. I would've given them a 4 star because we quite enjoyed the pizza, however, the service was just ok. When we walked in the door we were not greeted right away because the cashier was on the phone which we understood and it gave us some time to look at the menu. When it was our turn she answered the phone again to take an order and then after she started to take ours and another person interrupted her for her to accommodate them to come back and finish with us. We went to get drinks and the drink he wanted was out and he told the staff and they said okay we will change it out but after almost 20 mins he had to ask again to find out that they were out completely. When we ordered we also ordered a cheesecake and wanted it after our meal and they said not a problem so after we ate we asked for the dessert, well after 20 mins of waiting I asked the staff and she said okay I'm getting it, then another 10 mins after she came and said "well it's actually frozen and I stuck it in the oven to melt it for a few seconds but it's still frozen...do you want to take it to go?" At this point I was frustrated at their lack of communication and not being attentive. The BBQ pizza we had was actually decent, I liked the buttery taste and crunch of the crust. The BBQ sauce flavor was good to us because it was on the sweeter side but wished that the brisket was not cubed.

The restaurant was pretty quiet for dine-in, but it looked like they had a steady flow of to-go orders. The girl who took my order was very friendly and helpful. The fountain drinks tasted a little off, like they might have been low on syrup. One thing that stood out was the staffing, it felt a little unusual. After the cashier left for the day(assuming bc she left in a car), we mostly just saw the team working on pizzas. There were two other employees around, but one was sitting at the bar with a laptop and the other at a table, only getting up when customers came in. It made things a little awkward when we needed to ask for to-go boxes. As for the food, the chicken Alfredo had nice flavor but was a bit watery. On the other hand, the pizza was delicious!

I didn't get what I ordered. The cook out jalapenos all over my half of the pizza. I can't eat anything spicy. Not only did they refuse to remake the pizza, they refused to give me a refund or a store credit. They were very rude, dry, uninviting when answering the phone and throughout the entire conversation. This just happened 10 minutes ago, so whoever the guy was answering the phone was, he wouldn't give me his name and wouldn't give me the cooks name either. The manager wasn't in. I'm permanently disabled and have many issues. I let them know this, and they still had zero empathy and although they were in the wrong and I had to pay a lot of money for something I didn't order and could not eat, even taking jalapenos off, the juice still seeps into the pizza and ruins it. On Uber Eats there's proof of my order. On my pizza, there's proof the cook messed it up. I can't believe a business treats customers this way. I'm literally in shock.

I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS PIZZA PLACE TO ANYONE WHO LIKES THEIR PIZZA EXACTLY LIKE THEY LIKE THEIR PIZZA. IF YOU REALLY DON'T CARE WHAT'S ON YOUR PIZZA & YOU LIKE TO BE SURPRISED, THEN THIS...
