I've never had a bad experience with this specific store/franchise. We have found that unless it's 5 minutes before the football game or some other HUGE event, pretty much we can order a pizza and it's hot ready to go by the time that we drive from the house to the store (usually regardless of what the time says on the app).
The reason I'm leaving this post tonight though is because of the experience we had. It was a long day for both my wife and myself, I had beat my wife home and picked up our daughter from a friend's house who picked her up from school. We just wanted to get some food and relax... as my wife is a teacher and I work in Information Technology. Sitting in the car trying to order, for whatever reason my profile on my phone reverted my address back to the address we had a year ago in a completely different state. After taking 10 minutes, having to manually log in through the browser, I got our address corrected (again) and went and ordered the pizza. 10 minute drive to pick it up, figured the pizza would be ready (even though the timer said 19-29 minute wait).
Long story short the app decided to make the order to a Papa John's in another town over. I'm not sure if it was the glazed look in my eyes, or more of just the kind heart of small town people, but the girl behind the counter went and got the manager because she couldn't find the order. I was not making a scene or even upset, just kind of frustrated with myself because that's just how this day has been going... standing there with my daughter trying to get dinner.
Without thinking about it, discussing it, or anything, the manager tells me that they can make the pizza for me right now, it would not be a problem at all. But I should call the other store and have them cancel the order so they could refund my card. Which with my phone service is also fun because in my town I can only get my service to work in very key locations. But by the time I call, wait, and talk to the other store about the situation (who also was very understanding and kind and took care of it very happily), the pizza was ready. Very quick I was surprised they got it turned around that long (or had I been on the phone that long). But I go to pay, and now there is another young lady behind the counter (I'm not sure where the manager or other girl had gone, but it is after 8pm on a Monday so I'm guessing dealing with the evening routine) hands me the pizza and wishes my daughter and I a good night. Confused, I said I had not paid for the pizza yet and pulled out my wallet. She again wished us a good night and said not to worry about it.
... In complete disbelief I collect the pizza, my daughter, and we return home to enjoy some family time and a great hot pizza, thanks to a few kind souls at the local Papa Johns.
I greatly apologize to the staff there tonight, as the names did not register with my mental fatigue of today. I wanted to give their store some respect through the corporate website, but of course you need a ticket number and all of that to even leave feedback. So I wanted to reach out through here and leave this review, with the kind gesture they gave to my family to say that it is little things like that that can really change time for a random stranger. More little random acts of kindness go a long way to make our world better, and I thank the staff of this...
Read moreI will start off saying I have never been disappointed with the quality of the food or taste. Papa John’s is my favorite pizza branch, and this location has always delivered good food. However, their customer service is severely lacking. I went to pick up my pizza order, and the first thing I noticed is that the young man running the counter had both AirPods in. Now, I could understand if he was in the back and wanted to listen to something, but running the counter with them in? I had to repeat myself because (I’m guessing) he couldn’t hear me clearly with both AirPods, and throughout the entire experience, he didn’t say single word to me. I even held out my hands to grab the pizza from him and he just put it on the counter and left my hands out. He didn’t even push it forward, so that it would be closer to my side of the counter. It was probably one of the rudest customer service encounters I’ve had. I greeted him, asked for my order, said thank you, and he never said a single word. That, coupled with the fact that he didn’t even have the decency to take out his AirPods, showed complete lack of customer service and is incredibly unprofessional, even for a fast food place. He even gave the customer in front of me the wrong thing, making the guy ask again, probably because he couldn’t hear properly with both AirPods. Completely...
Read moreNever coming back here. First time ordering from this location and it was horrible. I placed an order online at about 10 pm two days ago, but it was cancelled by the store and they did not call to inform me. I received an email that 'served as notice of cancellation' instead. I called the manager and she was very kind and respectful, though there was no note on my account stating why my order was cancelled. I was offered a 50% discount and felt pretty taken care of. I ordered tonight, the exact same order, but they couldn't (or wouldn't) pull it up and apply the discount, so I read the order verbatim from the receipt email I had gotten previously. As it turns out, I could only receive a $10 discount if it was delivered; I would have to pick it up to get the full discount. That's fine, we can meet in the middle on this. My wife drove to the store, picked up the pizzas, and the order was not only wrong but the food was in terrible condition. The only reason we wanted to order here was to try the pepperoni-stuffed crust pizza, and it was absent in this order. We called back again, but they refused to do anything saying that was the order they received and it was my fault for...
