Update August 14 2023. STILL outstanding! Chowing down on fish and chips. Pic attached. Met a friend at the Crown today for a cold brew and lunch. I had the double beer battered onion rings served with chipotle ranch and a garden salad. Both exceeded my expectations. The onion rings were incredibly light and crispy. Perfectly salted. The chipotle ranch dipping sauce had a nice level of heat. Very creative. The portion was huge and the cost was very reasonable at $8.95. My small garden salad was just as good, also a good value at $5.95. Served cold. Fresh and crunchy. My friend - vegan - ordered the Portobello mushroom marinated in fresh herbs and white balsamic vinegar but without the provolone or the brioche bun. It was tasty. $13.95. Service was friendly and outstanding. Our Guinness was served at the proper temperature which released its flavor. Guinness shouldn't be served ice cold, but rather somewhat under ice cold. Perfect. Overall, a great experience. I recommend the Crown if you want atmosphere and a traditional Old Town pub experience.

Had the weirdest interaction. We came early Friday night and got a table pretty easily. My son and I ordered burgers and when they came they were beyond rare. When I asked the waitress if they could make us a new party she said acted annoyed and told us they would have to make us a new plate and that we would have to wait a long time. Since everyone else in our party would be finished before ours even arrived I just said it was fine and I would eat the salad that came with it. She told me next time I needed to specify that I would like it more medium and that how it is supposed to come. She asked if I wanted to take it off the bill but since I was eating the side salad I felt weird and she was making me feel awkward. She brought the owner over who didn’t offer us anything, just looked at the burger and said she would let the cooks know. Not impressed at all with the customer service and would not go back ever.

I have to say that this is the one restaurant/bar/pub in Fort Collins that I have frequented ever since 1999. So many restaurants and bars have come and go over the years and the Crown Pub remains a staple in Fort Collins and northern Colorado. And my wife and I would come here frequently when we first started dating and now that we’ve been married 16 years, we still continue to visit the crown pub whether it be for date night or just a quick meal and a drink. Located right in the heart of old town Fort Collins, Colorado on College Avenue. The food is absolutely fantastic with everything from burgers, sandwiches, fish and chips and specialty items. The beer and liquor selection is extensive with a wide array of local craft brews. Whether you’re a local of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Northern Colorado or a visitor, this is absolutely one of the best restaurants and pubs to visit.

I can’t fault this Pub. Literally perfect. But I’m actually here to talk about a crazy experience I had while at this Pub.

This was like a year ago but the experience I had here causes me some crazy dreams. I spoke to my therapist and they told me I should share the story because I’ve been bottling it up for a while and it’s making me sleep walk. I keep sleepwalking downstairs to my fridge every night and eating all the food from my fridge without noticing or waking up. At least that’s what I tell my therapist (I don’t want her to know that I’m just a greedy ol’ man).

But anyways the experience I had at this pub keeps haunting me. So a year ago, I went into the pub for a good ol’ pint with the lads. But after 20 minutes, this other guy jumps up onto my table. He had an emo haircut that made him look like he walked backwards through a bush to get to the pub. And he started singing the song: 🎵 Fall for you🎶 “Because tonight will be the night that I will fall for you” And he sang in a drunken emo voice and danced on the table for like 2 minutes straight. I was in a state of shock the whole time and I guess the feeling of shock just stayed with me for so long.

I hope someone read all this because I need to get rid of all the weight on my chess.

Bladdy great pub though. Would go again if my hands didn’t shake everytime I walk near. My therapist tells me it’s similar to PTSD and just without the...

As a local in Fort Collins I watch some great restaurants come and go. It's these older restaurants that make Old Town Fort Collins so special. The Crown is one of those places, they've been in Old Town for many years. I've been here a zillion times. This time was different. It's Labor day 2024, female bartender seated me on the patio got me my drink, everything was awesome. I'm happy, Then I got flipped to a male server named Jhett. I ordered their Black & Blue burger and asked my server if he "would "please ask the kitchen to cut my burger in half." Oh No! We are not cutting any burger in half! No Way! ----- Cut it yourself, I'll get you a knife. Listen, I could of easily eaten at Austins or one of the other great places in Old Town, I made an effort to go to The Crown! It was tough parking too, but I wanted to go to the Crown Pub! The Crowns not cheap $19 bucks for that burger. All I asked for was to cut the burger in half as they would of done with a Ruban or Patty Melt. Just to make it easier to handle in front of others. Please Note: The Crown Was Not Busy at 2:00 PM. If you're wondering if I tipped, yes I did 20%, but only because I knew they pooled their tips. My server Jhett shouldn't of shared in my tip, but the bartender was so wonderful I didn't want to short her and since I'll never be back it...

I love this location, my friends and I after a long week would head to this place to relax, enjoy a beverage and have good conversation. Typically the service there is always spot on; however, as of last night, I do have to say I was very disappointed in the service. My friends and I had gone over there to celebrate a friends promotion. We had been sitting down for a couple of minutes when a gentlemen, white shirt, tie, black hair, facial hair at around 9:30 p.m. asked us what we'd like to have. My response was two minutes, he looked at me baffled and said, "What?" I again informed him to give us two minutes, again, he looked confused and was staring so I said again, "two minutes, do you understand what I'm saying?" He became confrontational, "Said of course I understand you, that's why I'm standing here" and as he was walking off insulted me with a specific word. He never came back to take our drink orders after 15 more minutes of sitting there, we eventually left very dissatisfied for the first time ever here. I will be going back again; however, if I do have another experience like that, my friends and I will probably take our...
