Best drinks and beautiful ambiance.
Unfortunately, the wait times are absolutely ridiculous. 5 people in line and it took 10 minutes before I got an order in. Another 12 waiting for the drink to be made. This wasn't a one off situation either. Max time I have spent in their lines was 35 minutes. Max time waiting on a drink was 20+ after waiting to order. Luckily it wad not me, but somebody else had waiting 30+ minutes for their drink before me. Another girl has reminded them of her avocado toast 3 times and they kept forgetting. An hour later after her and her father had finished their drinks and what was supposed to be a nice time together... I could see him trying not to walk their and go off while his duaghter asked yet again for her food. 10 mim later she got it after asking for the 4th time. Why so long? No haste on fixing this mistake.
As a former barista, it is cringy to watch the employees stop making drinks to mess around. I am all for having a fun work enviorment. But a coffee shop with these wait times? And a $6.00-$7.00+ drink? No, im not a fan of that. Unfortunately i just walked out as it took 5 minuted to get 1 order done and I had 6 more people in front of me. So I am wroting this review. I can handle walk in coffee shop wait times... but somebody needs to get some hustle...
Read moreNothing super spectacular about the coffee or treats, but they’re still quite tasty. The space is very hip and upscale. There is a sense of it being more of a workspace rather than a cozy coffee shop. Wifi is provided and the password is posted in a visible area. The space can get pretty busy with a lot of movement. Plenty of various seating options for different preferences, both with and without tables. Lots of plants. They have a little gift shop/merch area, which was so cute.
Accessibility: Lighting and noise - Music is a little loud for conversation. Lighting is very nice, lots of natural light from the windows and warm lights throughout. The space could get pretty loud due to a lack of sound absorbing surfaces. Mobility - Level, solid floors. The door is a little heavy and doesn’t have an accessible button to be opened. Moving around the space could get a little tight for a wheelchair user, but the main bar to order is accessible. Diet- Vegetarian options are obvious, alternative mills are offered. They have food made in-house and pre-packaged foods. Other - Two gender-neutral bathrooms that are both ADA accessible and have...
Read moreLima has been open a while now and still their processes are very inefficient. The coffee and atmosphere are both very good but I imagine they lose hundreds if not thousands of dollars a month in potential business due the snail pace at which everything is served. People are always walking out before ordering after waiting in line too long. If there are even 1-2 people in front of you it may take 15-20 minutes to get a drip coffee… let alone a pour over. There just isn’t a customer focused approach and a streamlined way of doing the basics.
I hate to see a business with so much potential cutting themselves short like this but I honestly rarely patronize Lima anymore because I value my time too much to spend large chunks of it waiting in line. I will however buy their beans on occasion to brew at home (if the line is short)
This is a situation where I feel training is needed to address the small inefficiencies that snowball into huge wait times and...
