I really hate writing a bad review, especially since I have worked in the resturaunt industry, but I was very disappointed with my visit today.
To start, there are rarely lemons cut at the drink station. The first girl we asked for more from said they were out. The second girl handed my boyfriend lemons with her bare hands.
Now for food, the first time my salad was made, the kale was mostly stems. A gentleman, who I assume was a manager, came out and explained that they changed suppliers, and that they were working on it with them. I was told they would have staff pick the stems out of the kale. My salad was remade, but this time there were peanuts on it, which I had subbed out as I am allergic. We had the salad remade again, and again it was made wrong, and I still have mostly stems instead of leaves for kale!
I get that working in a resturaunt presents unique challanges, but it wasn't particularly busy, nor was this a challenging salad. I left without eating anything because I am furious by the incompetent service today! The only reason this wasn't one star is because I generally have decent enough experiences, but am seriously doubting returning.
Came back in August, and am still let down. : c My salad was half kale stems, half wilted. I asked for heavy dressing, as I get the same salad every time and know how dry it can be, and there was very little dressing on it. Our server must have been having a bad day, between her attitude and the service itself.
I won't be coming back, Mad Greens. Unfortunately, my order has been severely lacking one...
Read moreFrom The Mad Greens in Austin, Farmington and Castle Rock I've had nothing but wonderful service and excellent quality of food, the Fort Collins Mad Greens was an absolute disappointment. First, walking in I usually expect a hello or even a smile-- not today, we were greeted with "What do you want to order?" This should have been my first clue. I ordered the Don Quixote Salad-- as I always have. Upon looking at the ingredients on the prep table, I probably should have canceled the order and walked out but because of the great quality I had experienced at all the other locations, I stayed. Next my husband ordered the monzerella wrap. Fast forward, we pay and sit down to eat. There was not a clean table In the dining space. Please look at the pictures. There were 3 individuals working at this time and we were the only people in Mad Greens. Overall this location was filthy, the ingredients seemed flavorless ( frozen or not the correct temperature, etc.) My husband couldn't even eat his wrap- neither could I, the cheese was warm and clearly tasted spoiled. When trying to get the attention of the employee's to explain, I was ignored! This is is why I felt I needed to write the review. I have worked in the food industry for years, I understand things get busy but that is no excuse for poor customer service and definitely not an excuse for filth. I would not recommend this...
Read moreMad Greens is so yummy and fresh! I'm really picky about salads. I don't order them most places because if they aren't super fresh, they don't taste good to me at all. Mad Greens never disappoints.
I can't really rate very many items, because I have a favorite that I ALWAYS get - the Don Quixote. I like to get the big size, which is really just more fresh greens, substitute the piri piri shrimp instead of chicken and the cilantro lime dressing instead of the creamy ginger. Not only do I save some calories, but it's a fantastic combo. And if I omit the cheese, the whole thing is only 430 calories. It's to die for.
And you should really try the salted caramel cookie or the toffee crunch blondie if you have a sweet tooth!
The staff is really nice, fast, and they get it right. The place always looks clean to me.
I go whenever I'm on that side of town, and sometimes order for delivery.
I've also ordered their boxed lunches delivered for a lot of meetings for anywhere from 12-40 people, and they do a great job with them. Also, the manager, Crystal, is very accommodating.
Run, do not walk, and get yourself a fabulous,...
