We had an amazing time at this wonderful restaurant. We we were greeted warmly by the hostess when we walked in and were seated right away. We sat at seats next to the bar right in the middle of the restaurant. We were served fresh chips that had seasoning on them. I'm picky and was a little worried about this but quickly realized that I was mistaken as I was clearly becoming addicted to them. The seasoning on the chips was delicious and not overpowering. And paired with the house-made salsa made it the perfect appetizer. My husband and I are trying to eat less while still enjoying going out so we split the Beef & Cheese Chili Rellenos, which were beer-battered and baked. We also split a Tinga chicken taco and both were amazing and delicious. I'm not a black bean fan but these black beans have changed my mind. I do not have one single bad thing to say about anything we ordered. The other thing I noticed was the staff and how they interacted with each other. Everyone was happy and we could feel that vibe throughout the restaurant. They smiled as they passed each other and I felt that they were genuinely happy to be there and to be there with each other. It just felt good to see and feel this. And now, for the Key Lime pie. We took it home and just enjoyed it after dinner this evening. My husband and I were play-fighting over it. He'd growl and say that I could not have any because he wanted it all to himself. This Key Lime pie was the best we have EVER had and I'm not exaggerating. I can see why they're proud of it! We also had the pleasure of meeting Steve, the owner. He was so warm and friendly and we very much enjoyed chatting with him. When we left we were thanked by five staff members. I do not have one single bad thing to say about this new find and we're already looking forward to returning. Thank you to Steve and his staff for a wonderful first visit. ❤️

I am extremely disappointed. I have never eaten here and ordered from them on Friday, August 23rd just before NOSH closed for delivery for the night. I ordered the Bison short rib quesadilla, and specifically requested no salsa as I am allergic to soy and cannot have tomato, and I am aware that many restaurant sauces (especially salsas) contain one or both. Not only did they give me the salsa, but they couldn't bother closing the lid entirely so the WHOLE container spilled on my food, literally soaking around all the edges and into the inside. I couldn't even try to eat it as the reaction I have to tomato and soy is not simply a mild breakout or indigestion, I am unable to eat, breathe properly, or move without pain for days after due to severe inflammation. My partner ordered the short rib birria and egg burrito and said it was good, however he also ordered the Poblano Queso and Chips- they didn't bother including that item at all though we were charged for it (I believe it was 14). The driver also didnt bother texting when delivered so the food sat on our porch for god knows how long. Thankfully, NOSH is extremely helpful and tends to immediately send a message to drivers reminding them to follow delivery instructions when mistakes like that are made, they also were very kind to remove the missing and messed up item, and deeply apologized for the situation. NOSH had unfortunately closed by then so couldn't simply do a reorder, but I was extremely beyond grateful for the help and actions they took. Sadly will not be going back though this is the only Mexican restaurant with bison I have found, and that is huge for me as I cannot digest beef.

My wife and I went to Mas Fuegos in Fort Collins last night and had one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Here's why: 1) The Service: Our server, Sierra, was an absolute gem. From her friendly demeanor, to her attentiveness, to her multiple recommendations that led us to try a few new things that we absolutely loved. 2) The Queso: I have a new favorite queso. The poblano beef queso at Mas Fuegos is to die for. This was a Sierra suggestion, delicious queso with ground beef and diced poblanos mixed into it. I may have a new addiction. 3) The Food: Absolutely amazing. This was our 3rd or 4th trip to Mas Fuegos and I have loved the food every time. I've had some tacos, I've had the rellanos, but last night, thanks to Sierra's recommendation, I tried the Baria enchiladas smothered in red sauce and crema, and they did not disappoint. My wife had the shrimp tacos and absolutely loved them as well. Even the sides are amazing. Their rice, black beans, and refried beans are some of the best I've ever had in a restaurant. I would order a side of rice and beans here over a number of entrees I've had at some other Mexican food restaurants. 4) The Marg flights: They make a good margarita here, and their frozen flight lets you try 4 different flavors. All 4 get a thumbs up, but the pineapple and the prickly pear are duking it out for #1. Thanks to experiences like we had yesterday, Mas Fuegos has fast become one of my favorite restaurants. I'll definitely be back.

Used to love it. Not sure what happened.

When we arrived there was a wait for a hostess.

There was a sign that said brunch. We asked, the waiter blamed the hostess for not giving us brunch menus. Eventually we got them.

My guest asked for a coffee, it took two reminders before it arrived. He also asked if she wanted jelly, butter or both. She chose both. Neither arrived.

Waiter also forgot the cheese and blamed the kitchen.

Something has changed, they used to have enough and great staff. Neither is true any more.

Used to bring salsa. Now they blame the hostess.

I received a very professional, rapid and caring response from Chris, the manager. He really seems to care.

He has persuaded us to have another try, to show that he has fixed the problems. We will, soon. I may well update the review significantly after the re-try.

Everyone has issues sometimes and his accountability and appearance of caring is really all we can hope for.

Chris the owner seems to really care about this and we have been in contact. I'm impressed. He has sent me a gift card asking us to give him another try. We have not had time to use it yet, but will update the review when we have. Until then I'll update the overall stars Could well hp up even more

Per the request from Chris, the owner, we tried again.

Seems back to the way it was.

Preston, our server was amazing: there when we wanted and not bugging us when we did not.

It will take some time to revert to the old 5-star for me, but it is well on the way, with more Prestons it would be faster...
