Currently my partner and I live in Southeast Texas. Due to our American Bully having cancer and CSU having a reputation as one of the best animal medical facilities in the country we found ourselves stranded in Fort Collins (we are originally from Nebraska, still 6 or 7 hrs drive) while our pup went through surgery to remove a soft tissue sarcoma.
While eating at this establishment our server Cam was phenomenal. He was attentive, gave great recommendations and was invested in how our dog was doing. While finishing our meal we got word that our pup had just barely survived surgery and would need to be in the ICU for 24 hours. Cam celebrated with us and after talking to the owners about our situation they gave us a drink on them to celebrate. These are people that genuinely care about their patrons. Hard to find these days, trust me.
The building was decorated in a way that could appeal to those that love modern styles but also had whispers of a few decades back. Their tvs were working and playing the few sports that were going on at that time. Image was sharp, zero issues.
We tried the Mac n cheese, pulled pork sandwich and the pork green chili. All of it excellent. Especially their pork green chili which is one of the main things they are known for. Seriously.
All in all if you are in Fort Collins for even a day, check this place out. They Excell on every front.
PS: Sorry it took me so long Cam! I told you straight up how great our experience was, but due to the dog and her ongoing treatment it took way too long BUT I stand by what I said. You're all running an amazing restaurant down there. I've done a lot of reviews, but this one was most deserving of...
Read moreKind of pricey, we started with an order of onion rings $4.25 for 6 rings (not large rings, i'd say med to small) my wife ordered the western burger $8 without any side, add fries then it's $10.50, It was very greasy (bottom bun was soaked through) and honestly, I would not pay more than $6 for it on the "Street". I had the Poutine $6.75 with egg, which I had high hopes for, it looked great delivered to the table but it was over salted and way, way over peppered, the fried egg on to was cooked well. I ordered a Moscow Mule that was served in a canning jar (not a copper mug) which tasted like it had little to no vodka in it. The greeting as you entered was great, very friendly. Service was ok, our server did not honor the coupon for BoGo because the Poutine is not considered a entree (no biggie but as a new restaurant you should focus on retention by giving a little). I expect they are still working on getting the kinks out since they have not been open very long but honestly, we did not feel so great after the meal (probably our fault for ordering what we did as it was not exactly healthy and they do offer healthier options) so not a place I will think of first when deciding where to go out to eat. The Fort Collins Dinning Market is getting more and more competitive by the week, there are so many options. I think Rally5 needs to strike a better balance between quality and value to last in this city. Trying to be constructive and honest in the review and I wish Rally5 luck as their concept...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I are new to the area, and were looking for a good place for a post-golf lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't very busy, and the hostess was friendly enough. After we were seated, we glanced at the menu, chatted about our golf game, and waited for our waitress. It was approximately 15 minutes later when she arrived to ask us for our drink order. We both ordered waters as we had just been out in the sun. It's always when you're very thirsty that you notice how long it takes for the water to arrive. I also ordered a draft beer and my boyfriend ordered the Kentucky Iced Tea, which he seemed to enjoy. Our food took an average amount of time to arrive; I ordered the Crispy Avocado Tacos and he ordered the Smoked Brisket Cheesesteak. He did note there was a bit too much sauce, but not a big deal, it tasted great. Our waitress was the type to bring our drinks and not say a word, not horrible, but not great either. Someone else brought our food, so the only times we saw her was when she initially took our order, brought our drinks, and left the check, never saying much. This obviously isn't the worst customer service, but it also doesn't make the greatest impression. Considering the food and quality of service, our check didn't quite match up. Giving the benefit of the doubt as the COVID situation is awkward for everyone, we might return for the Friday Happy Hour specials, but other than that it...
