If the bread looks familiar to you, it should! Locally owned, the Bread Chic (its pronounced chick not sheik according to the Chef/Owner) has been at the local farmers markets for years. They now occupy a storefront in the heart of Old Town just north of Luckys Market. I love sourdough bread and Bread Chic Has the best in town offering five or six great choices. Another very popular item is the cinnamon swirl loaf….it’s really nice and great to eat when it’s still a little warm from their oven. Just try not to eat the entire loaf on your ride home. Although not a full service bakery they have many other baked goods to choose from including their amazing cinnamon rolls (free cholesterol tests after 10 purchases) and a large variety of pies. Apparently it was also market day so their selection was less on the pastries per conversation the staff told another guest that was looking...

By the way, I wasn't expecting this but their Oatmeal raisin cookies might be the best I've ever had. Definitely worth a try!
