Cigar Republic USA – A Terrible Experience

My visit to Cigar Republic USA was nothing short of awful. From the moment I stepped inside, the environment was shocking—trash scattered everywhere, vomit on the floor, and a crowd of people who were clearly far too drunk. It felt more like a dive bar at its worst than a cigar lounge.

The service was just as bad. My friend and I were immediately confronted about our IDs in a rude and unwelcoming manner, without so much as a “hello.” When the staff member checked my ID, they dropped it on the floor and then rudely told me to pick it up myself. That level of disrespect is unacceptable in any establishment.

After we were told where to sit, we later found out the area was members-only and were asked to leave—a completely avoidable situation if the staff had given clear instructions. It was confusing, frustrating, and embarrassing.

The cigars and drinks are grossly overpriced for the poor quality they offer. If you’re spending that kind of money, you expect an elevated experience, not to deal with a filthy environment and incompetent service.

I usually go to Archie's next door after work on Saturday's then shoot over here for a Cuban Sandwich to go. Well tonight was no different, I ordered my sandwich and sat in the back and waited it. It was at this point that Nick (the owner) aggressively approached me and asked if I was buying anything, even though I just did! I explained that I purchased a sandwich to which he replied, "Oh I saw you were looking at the charger" And?! I left my phone at Archie's, I didn't even need to charge it! I guess I didn't fit the appearance of their normal crowd. He finished our talk with "Well if you buy a drink or a cigar you can use the charger" Even though I just explained I bought a sandwich and left my phone next door.
