The only reason I'll be giving this place two stars is because the dessert was pretty good, but I did not appreciate the attitude I received from the girl helping us. I am aware that many people don't like tourist but we are not the kind to act entitled. We just had no idea what the pastries were called and had a hard time pronouncing them, so we would point to what we wanted. When it came time to pay, I asked my mom if she'd like a coffee to accompany her almond cake. She wanted decaf coffee, now I was a barista so I knew that they would have traditional coffee so I asked the girl what they had. She said "American, Latte or Cappuccino." My mom has no idea what each is so she said "I just want a regular decaf coffee." This girl rolled her eyes at us and repeated herself. I then asked if she could explain the difference since my mom didn't know. She just repeated herself... at this point I was getting upset. So I explained the difference to my mom. She ended up getting a decaf americano. I paid for our pastries and coffee (which was not cheap... I spent about $50 and I still tipped...) When we got our coffees my mom asked if she could have some of the leftover milk from my latte since she was going to dump it anyways, the girl rolled her eyes again... needless to say I didn't enjoy my first visit and I'll never go back or recommend this to anyone. Save your $$ and go somewhere that will at least be...

First time visit, I expected I will get great time over there to try Italy bakery and coffee. Cakes were good, coffee was good too. The decoration was impressed me. But two ladies were woking there really rude. Because first time visit, we weren’t sure what kind of cake is good for us, so my wife asked the lady at front counter about the cake she wanted, and till next question the lady became rude, she kind of didn’t want to answer. I saw that and order those cakes any way. She looked at me and asked me twice : you want it? I say yes! She threw the cake into dish. I asked her do you have coffee? She said of course! I was looking around to find kind of menu, but there is not the menu. She asked me do you want capucino or latte? I chose capucino. My wife asked her is there has any kind of juce. She point the finger at cold drink freezer and said over there. My wife, she wants a cake from another place and when the lady threw the cake into dish I could hear from 6 feet away. I was order 3 kind of cakes and we couldn’t finish all, so we wanted a small box, when my wife asked another lady for a box, she looked at our table kind of why we need a box. So, I like the cake, the decoration, the coffee! But employees who work overthere were really really rude. I wonder If they don’t like their job, just quit shouldn’t ruin their...

Wow….recently in Ft Lauderdale …noticed this “Italian “ bakery …then heard that it’s amazing so decided to take a walk for espresso and dolce…what a waste of a walk. Everything looks yummy but …decided to have a chocolate flaky pastry and cinnamon danish….with espresso. Cinnamon danish had too much egg wash …almost looked like custard 🤮 …didn’t eat..on to the chocolate croissant…the bottom was thin and once I took bite ….dough had not risen and it was raw…finished espresso….went to ask for glass of water….miserable girl said bottled water fridge!!! I said I just ordered espresso and I just need a little water…. Hey paesano…don’t put Italian if you ain’t gonna serve Italian….you get a small glass of water with each espresso …. Prices and quality don’t match …but he stiffs the Canadians and overcharges because he knows they have $$$$$$$$ the Italians from north of Toronto So I guess if you have a few $$$ doesn’t mean you have taste or know quality The other girl working the pastry counter…dark hair glasses….miserable rude B….wonder if daddy owns the joint or she just a miserable POS… Buddy …come to Toronto ….and learn how to serve espresso and make have...

Great stuff. If you want mouse poop and pubic hairs in your food. I just discovered this place and was really excited, until I went in again on Saturday to get a loaf of the Casarecchio(sp?) bread. Started eating it on Sunday, and then Monday while I was tearing pieces from it, I come across, in the center of the loaf AND baked in, what looks like mouse poop and 100% a pubic hair. I went back to the store and the girl on duty was really nice and accommodating, gave me a refund and told me the owner would be in touch with me. It's been three days and I'm still waiting. They either need to be shut down or reconsider their sanitation practices because this is disgusting and I was sick for two days straight because of this.

Extremely disappointed with my last experience here. Not coming back. After many years of buying here and recommending, even while over priced - I received a old odd tasting cake. 55 dollars for a tart that was barely edible. When I spoke to staff very nicely about a return they did not even apologize, told me speak to the manager without telling me when the manager would be there. Then the manager called coincidentally while I was there and the staff said “we don’t do returns” not any sort of apology or even just acknowledgement and a very BAD attitude. This is basic customer service !!!do better

Agree with the reviewers. I used to love this place, but noticed they’ve started increasing prices for certain things. Like, a sandwich for 13$ or a small baked items 6$, this is outrageous even for experience Fort Lauderdale. After my last trip to Pane Dolci where I payed 18 bucks for a small slice of pie and two baked items (a take out with a mediocre service too!), I started wondering whether they want to keep their clientele at all. For a reference: this is that deliciously expensive sfogliatelle for 6 bucks. Ouch
