Don’t let the “New Ownership” sign fool ya.
Around 7:40 p.m. I assumed with new ownership this place be buzzing on a Saturday night with enthusiasm and piping hot fresh pizza.
Instead greeted with a mute voice as if I was a bother.
The pepperoni by slices on display didn’t look bad but they didn’t look great as if sitting out over 60 minutes (unfresh).
To avoid paying retail for a stale slice I inquired better options for cheese pizza, but employee annoyed I asked. Without looking at me he said “We’re not serving that.” Because employee didn’t want to elaborate any further it forced me to ask “WHEN will it be available?” His response “Not soon” as if not within an hour or rest of the night.
Got it! Your sign advertises ‘pizza’ establishment but only if employee feels like serving you? And if employee doesn’t feel like serving then customer denied preference as basic as a slice of cheese pizza? You (DNY) call yourselves a pizza place?!?!? I’d get it if denied service 5 minutes before closing but it was still over 5 hours before closing?
I thought with the ‘so-called’ new ownership this be improvement over Pizza Rustica (which went downhill last 6/7 years). Living 500 feet away I was disappointed because wanted this place to revert back to the older Pizza Rustica days before 2010. I won’t be back!
It’s a drive from A1A / Oakland Pk intersection but if in the mood for fresh pizza I recommend “Manhattan NY Pizza” off Cordova Rd. Unlike DNY Oakland Park Blvd the owner usually there and gives attitude he WANTS CUSTOMERS THERE!
Da Vinci's Pizzeria on Galt Mile is good too despite their limited hours...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at D-N-Y Pizzeria, and I have to say, it was an experience that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and the irresistible aroma of freshly baked pizza. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual meal with friends or family.
I couldn't resist trying their Spicy Chicken pizza, and it did not disappoint! The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside. The Spicy Chicken pizza had the perfect blend of heat and flavor, with tender pieces of chicken, just the right amount of kick from the spices, and a delightful mix of cheeses that brought everything together. It was a taste sensation that left me craving more.
What truly sets D-N-Y Pizzeria apart is the quality of their ingredients and their commitment to excellence. Every bite tasted fresh and thoughtfully crafted. The service was top-notch as well, with attentive staff who were more than happy to make recommendations and ensure a fantastic dining experience.
A special shoutout to John, the owner, who is not only a great guy but also clearly passionate about what he does. His dedication to delivering the best possible pizza experience is evident in every aspect of the restaurant, from the delicious food to the welcoming atmosphere.
Whether you’re a pizza aficionado or just looking for a great meal, D-N-Y Pizzeria is a must-visit. I can't wait to return and try more of their delicious offerings!
