Invasive Species Brewing opened in 2017 and quickly garnered a good reputation. It is located in a mostly residential area with nice modern apartment buildings. Parking is free or metered along the streets. The brewery occupies a one-story yellow concrete building with a short green concrete awning over a few patio tables. The brewery doesn't have a kitchen but a food truck trailer is reliably parked outside. Inside you can see a row of 8 stainless steel fermenters and midsize brewing vessels. They specialize in a variety of IPA's and delicious fruited sour ales. They also have one stout, a 16% abv Chocolate bomb. Love these beers. The place is dimly lit with string lights under a low black metal framed ceiling. There are no televisions but peppy folk music is playing and the place echoes with happy conversations. The dark walls are decorated with all manners of animals - models, stuffed, skeletons, and paintings. There are too many to list all the species, but gators seem to be prominent. The bar has 20 beers on tap and black panels that list their offering. They sell by the glass and taster size and the cheerful bartender is happy to make recommendations. Behind the building is a large concrete patio under a large white tent with picnic tables. This brewery is easy to love and is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe beers are great. Loved them. The staff has big attitude problems. The service is pretty much nonexistent. They donāt tell you, but they donāt want you to be there.
We had just been to other breweries in the past week as we love to try new beers: Tarpon River, Orchestrated Minds, Riverside Cafe.. all of them have been so graceful and engaging and recommended us the right beers based on our questions. We tried here, but there was no intention. Every time we were dismissed. āLook at the menu and I will Come back to youā even after we asked for some recommendations on a more floral IPA ( i got the worst IPA, my partnerās IPA was actually more suitable to what I asked.. anyways) he was not wanting to speak to us. One of us later came back for another beer and they observed how one lady got the wrong beer and she was trying to tell the lady she wanted something else and her response (after checking with her partner : Mr. sympathy) was: the speakers are loud, you are loud but we canāt hear here š In any case. The beers were good but the service was non deserving. It is sad. We love having fun. We will not come back and we will tell all our friends we do not recommend this place. Thanks for taking this comment and addressing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhat can I say! This place is cool! A nice micro brewery tucked away in Fort Lauderdale. I gave it five stars because they were pretty much spot on with everything. Their service was fantastic! When we walked in the entire bar was full so we had to stand behind everyone to order, in no time at all the bartender noticed and asked us what we would like to order...kudos to him, great customer service! I honestly thought we were going to have to flag a bartender down. They had a Great selection of beer to choose from. The prices werenāt bad at all. Simple decor and plenty seating area outside and inside. I love what they did in the back with the picnic benches and hanging lights. They had a DJ and the atmosphere was such a friendly one, they even allow dogs (makes it even more special š) Over all, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend going there. NOTE: do not park in the parking lot next to them....you will get towed! There is enough parking on the road and itās not a high...
