This is a rating only on this experience, not an overall. We used to get food here pretty regularly (until Peking Tokyo in TC opened). Food was always good and came out quick. We went in one evening for takeout after a bunch of errands because Chinese is usually quick. Guy tells us 30 min. Okay, we have time to run home and put groceries away. Come back 25 min later, then proceeded to wait ANOTHER 55 MINUTES for our food. Others there that night were waiting over an hour and 15 minutes. They were short staffed and I felt bad for the guy running things as he was trying hard. But he looked at my order three times before I got it. And they shouldn't tell people 30 min - which he did for several after us as well - when you know it's going to be MUCH longer than that (others leaving had told us they had been waiting close to an hour AFTER we placed our order). Our fault for not canceling, I get it. But that was ridiculous. Alnost an hour and a half. Food was just okay, and my wife didn't feel too good after eating it, so she avoided the leftovers. We usually like to give places another chance - everyone has a bad night after all - but we'll be hard pressed to get food from there again. Only reason it's 2 stars instead of one is because the guy out front was really nice, trying hard and helping in the kitchen as well. He also was good about putting on new gloves when he went...

Out of the almost 60$ worth of food i just bought the only part of it my family and I enjoyed was the Lo-mein & even it was super dry! We ordered : Bourbon Chicken with Lo-Mein, Beef & Broccoli with Fried Rice & 2 Egg Rolls.

Let me start by saying i would have gotten more joy setting my 60$ on fire than i did from eating this meal!

The Bourbon chicken tasted like the teriyaki chicken on a stick (wasnt that great at all) lo-mein was dry (but the only thing that actually got eatin) Beef & Broccoli was absolutely DISGUSTING it was Slimy & the vegetables weren’t cooked at all what so ever! I expected to get fried rice as I know I paid extra for it and what i got was white rice with eggs, NO VEGETABLES AT ALL! Also, usually fried rice is got a Brown fried tint to it this was 100% white rice! & both of the egg rolls were hard as a rock!!!

I didn’t want to waste my money at red bowl due to the same exact reason, and I ended up wasting more money than I would’ve spent at Red Bowl… (at least my eggrolls would’ve been on point)

I’m super disappointed!!! this was the second time we’ve given this place a chance and it will definitely be the last time!!!

This food is 100% over price for the quality!!!?

I was truly hoping to be giving them a good review this evening, but as...

Noticed a lot of co-workers going there, so I asked where is it ? Being addicted to Chinese food I couldn't resist. Walked in lady went behind the counter quick to take my order. I asked for the lunch specials and informed her my co-workers told me about the place. She had no interest and said your order please? I ordered sesame chicken and she asked " Drink" and I said " I'm sorry" and she said " drink?". And I asked does it come with the lunch special and she quickly said " no". So I said no just water please. Then I asked could I get the rice fried hard like my favorite spot does and she said no. And I said you can charge me extra I don't like the cheap, dry, old rice taste and like it crispy. She replied "No we don't do that here !" Okay fine and paid and sat down. !st the rice was horrible had no vegetables or onions in it. It was just fried rice with light soy sauce on it. Uggggghhh. I give the food a 2 out of a 10. I told my Fiance and co-workers food s*cked and I will never go there again. Just being honest. Food and customer service needs help and tables were sticky. I got no plasticware, napkins, or sauce. This is my very 1st review in my life,I felt compelled to sign in and tell...

Overall, I had an okay experience. My husband tried Big Wok for lunch one day and wanted me to try it as well. I didn't like the initial smell of the restaurant. It nearly smells similar to an old warehouse, or even to restrooms. If I visited alone, I would've turned around and left from the smell, but I set my concerns aside. The food was prepared and served fast. As someone with culinary experience and degrees, I didn't like that the workers weren't in official uniforms. Their hair was pulled back, but I still felt weary. The cashier cooked some as well, which also made me concerned on money and food handling safety. Although the portion size is great, I really didn't like my orange chicken. It wasn't terrible, flavor wise, but the texture resembles something you purchase out of the frozen aisle in a grocery store, if not worse. I simply wasn't impressed with it. Lastly, my stomach slightly bothered me the rest of evening, with constant urges to use the restroom. If asked to recommend a Chinese Restaurant, I wouldn't recommend Big Wok.

This was our first visit here, it has a good rating so we were excited to try it. The guy at the counter was friendly. We ordered take out. There was no one dining inside, but a few people came in for take out while we were waiting for our food to be done. The food isn’t bad, but it isn’t anything to write home about either. We got the orange chicken with fried rice, Mongolian beef with fried rice, 2 crispy chicken eggrolls, and an order of crab rangoons. The serving size of the orange chicken and beef were pretty big, and they were packed full. I was hoping the orange chicken would be a little crispy, they weren’t, but it was still ok. The Mongolian beef was ok. The fried rice was missing vegetables. We expected carrots and peas, but there was just egg and chopped white onion. Again, it was ok, not great. The crispy egg roll was just chicken, no veggies either, like we were expecting. Was ok. The crab rangoons I think were the best part of the meal. Overall, I will try other Chinese restaurants the next time we want Chinese.

I have lived in Indian Land SC for 12 years after moving from NJ. I have been on an unending search for good Chinese food ever since. I do like Wan Fu but that's about it. We just tried Big Wok for the first time at 6pm on a Saturday. No one was dining in but us. I ordered steamed dumplings, sesame chicken, and bourbon chicken. The dumplings were plentiful and tasty. Bourbon chicken was ok but nothing like the syrupy sweet kind you get at the mall. I probably won't order it next time. I don't know if it was because we dined in and the food was not steamed in the container but I had the best sesame chicken down here. The breading was light and crispy. The chicken was sweet but not overly so, and it was not swimming in sauce which I do not like. I am definitely going to be back to try other dishes!
